I purchased a brand new 2017 Impreza and I love it, although shortly after my purchase (1500 miles) I began having problems, oil light kept coming on which led to the engine needing to be replaced. They told me two weeks and now 2 months have gone by and I still do not have my car, I call and constantly get put on hold and have to work just to get updated on my car. I still haven’t received it and will update this once I do. Happy holidays
I had heard from a friend that Irvine Subaru provided excellent service and they were right.
I just purchased a 2018 Outback and love it. Julio was great with the sales side, showing me the basics and answering questions. The financing was efficient and handled very professionally. Lastly my return visit to meet with Carissa was a bonus. She went over features with me, answered my questions and let me know I could call anytime with questions.
I would recommend Irvine Subaru to anyone looking to buy or lease a Subaru. New or used. I was impressed.Doris Jones Cofield.
I would highly recommend going in and asking for Justin S. to help you find a car. Out of all the dealerships and sales reps I spoke with, he has been by far the best I've worked with. From initially coming up and meeting me until signing for the car, he made the experience entirely joyful. He surpasses what it means to provide customer experience and I am lucky to have worked for him. Subaru, I hope you are smart to realize what you have and I hope that those who read this be smart and go in and ask for him. Peter in finance was great as well. Overall solid and Justin well done.
Alfredo in the parts department was very helpful and polite. More places need employees like him. *EDIT* This is an edit to my review and I hope more people are aware if the kind of people that work at this dealership. I recently purchased a replacement key for my car from Alfredo who was great. After that I had to tow my car down to the dealership to have the new key programmed. The time line quoted to me was 35 minutes which took over 4 hours. This isn't the worst part. after being told that the key was programmed and the vehicle was ready to be picked up I went back down there to pay for the service. Upon arrival, Sebastian told me that Bryan (the tech who reprogrammed my key) said my existing FOB (unlocks and locks the doors) was not working. Well I'll tell you, it was working this morning. So I inquired how much it would be to replace the old one and they quoted me 160 dollars. After consideration of buying or not buying the new FOB I decided I'll bite the hook and get a new one that way there will be no more issues with key or FOB related problems. I pay for the ticket and walked out to my car and lo and behold the new FOB doesn't work. So, what do I do? I try the old one and what happened? THE OLD ONE STILL WORKS. This review is getting to be a little long now so I'll cut it here after I advise anyone reading this to please NEVER go to Irvine Subaru. If at all possible go ANYWHERE else. They are trying to make an extra buck off of good trusting people who just need some car service done.
Always a great experience! I am thankful for such a great team - always professional, fair prices, and short wait times. I had to rent a car from Enterprise across the street and Subaru took care of everything - they even returned it for me so I didn't have to make an extra stop! Fantastic team! I highly recommend it here.
Great service and people. Desiree, Ryan and Justin all lf you rock and I love my car.
Worst customer service ever! I stood there in the lobby while sales people walked by and didn't offer to help. Couldn't even make eye contact. Everyone else who walked in were approached, offered water and snacks and assistance. I stood there for 20 min and no one even cared. No getting my business!!!!
I love my new blue!!!!!!
Justin Skoll was the first sales person to greet me when looking for a new car. He has that family oriented personality with no pressure that many sales people lack now days. This made my experience leasing my car less stressful and he he was a pleasure to do business with. It was an ease of relief in finding a car that fits my lifestyle and needs and I am very happy to have leased a car from this family owned dealership and will be recommending my friends and family as well as going back in 3 years to purchase my next car.
Everyone is nice, friendly, and professional. The owner even called another dealership to get the car with the package I wanted due to a small ding in the door of the car I purchased. I signed papers then saw the dent before I drove off the lot. They tried to fix by using paintless dent repair but I didn't want a new car with a fixed door before I can drive it. And the paintless dent repair wasn't a perfect fix. So, the owner looked up for any dealership with same package and color. The owner called the dealership with that car, made an exchange, then sent a tow truck to pick it up. I was given a rental then I came back next day, signed new papers with the new VIN number.
Since, every service has been great. Every service so far included a complimentary car wash as well. Best dealership I ever bought a car from. I would highly recommend this place especially if you're considering a Subaru.

Service center told me my car was repaired but it was not. Repeatedly, I returned my car for the same issue, was told my car was repaired, but the issue was still occurring. Eventually, I was told that there was an issue with the steering box (a tooth had skipped) and that it needed to be adjusted. During my follow-up visit for the adjustment, instead of Irvine Subaru adjusting the steering box, I was told I need to purchase four new tires. I did not purchase their tires and took my car Renick Subaru instead to adjust the steering box. Renick Subaru looked at my car, confirmed my tires were not causing the issue and said the steering box cannot be adjusted. I was billed $159 for their diagnosis. I contacted the Service Manager, Sebastian, at Irvine Subaru about reimbursing me the $159 diagnosis fee from Renick Subaru because Irvine Subaru's incorrect repair suggestion is not something that can be done. Based on Sebastian's verbal response and the lack of follow-up to any of my emails sent to him, I do not expect to be reimbursed (my perception that I will not be reimbursed does not effect my rating).
*** Update ***
Attached are pictures of damaged and, to show a comparison, non-damaged suspension parts. The mounting holes on the damaged strut and steering knuckle were elongated (looks like a drill was used) thus damaging both parts so they now have to be replaced. These parts are from the area of my car that Irvine Subaru worked on and Irvine Subaru was the last shop to troubleshoot these parts. I spoke with the Service Manager, Sebastian, at Irvine Subaru and was told that I will have to pay them to replace the parts. I attempted to speak with the General Manager, Sergio, at Irvine Subaru but my call was forwarded to a voicemail box that is too full to accept new messages.
I'm a person not a number? Also got lied to about a vehicle here that had an offer already. Told that the vehicle had nothing wrong with it and comes with a warranty, service guy comes by and said the offer fell through. Then sales guy tells us THEN the vehicle has a bad clutch. Who knows what else is wrong with it. Never should have strayed from McKenna Subaru in Huntington Beach
There seemed to be no one outside or inside to help us. We walked around for about 45 minutes and no one came to speak to us. When I walked in there was a gentlemen that was sitting down but he did not say anything to me, however when my white friend walked in minutes after i walked out the gentlemen stood up to speak to him right away. Then we asked about test driving a wrx and told me their policy about how they have to do a credit check but i get it thats pretty normal. However when he asked me about my age and i told him i was 20, he started to ask me about how much i make a month and made it seem like i could not afford the car and madei t seem like i was so young they didnt want to help me. I did all my research before even coming and i knew i could afford the car so that was not cool. Bad service like where does it say i have to be white to be seen and old to be served? . Gentleman's name was George.
[Update] We had some misunderstanding with the price quote and the actual price. Luckily, Desiree reached out to me to resolve this issue. I came in to pick up my car today. The process was quick, efficient and smooth. I am now a proud Subaru owner. The Desiree and Team!
Best Subaru Dealer. Desiree is always on top of things and will get you a good deal.
They will work to get you the best APR.
Their service crew is also very attentive. Sometimes you buy and they forget about you, not here.
Give them a try.
Plus, they speak Spanish.
