You may have to pay for parking but besides that it's a great place had a great time at the Crown Royal Dog Show
TERRIBLE venue from a vendor's point of view. We weren't allowed to bring our goods in on a 4 wheeled cart - only a 2 wheeled dolly, OR we could pay $50 to drive our truck in PER TRIP, or $90 for unlimited trips. I don't know if this was a union thing or what, but it was ridiculous. We saw old people, in the rain, struggling with 2 wheelers that would convert to 4 wheel carts, not allowed to use the 4 wheels. Meanwhile, "workers" were driving all over in motorized carts directing people. We paid BIG $ to do this show, don't think we'll be back.
Two thumbs - WAY DOWN.
Attended the Christmas Connection which was awesome. The entrance into the venue really put us in a Christmas mood. A walkway lined with christmas characters. Cute! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Lots of good vendors. My only complaints are having to pay $10 for parking on top of the $13 to get in. And the aisles could have been wider, too small to accommodate large crowds. Overall, very good show.
Always a pleasure to be here. The restrooms are kept even during high traffic events. It's easy to get in and out of and parking is simple.
Been here in a few different occasions and always enjoy what I'm there for. This time happened to be for a dinosaur venue. Jurassic Park like attraction. It was ok to me but my little boy loved it and that's all that matters. It was cool with life size dinosaurs with some of them having movement. It's worth the trip if it comes around again.
tl;dr - The facility is clean. The parking lot is large enough to fit everyone most times. There is no A/C, but there are fans. Don't come on a day where it's in the high 80's. You'll roast. Bathrooms are very easy to get to. The food served at the various stalls is okay. My advice: don't go planning to eat good food there, unless the event is one that brings their own. Parking is very accessible, yep even for the physically challenged.
I've been going here for years for various events. Years ago they upgraded all of the food areas, but since then I haven't noticed much else improved.
We were just there for the Dinosaur exhibit. It was a hot day in September. Don't ever go to the I-X center on a hot day. They have no A/C! Sure, they had fans going, but it was miserable.
The Dinosaur exhibit was awful. I don't recommend anyone pay money to see it, unless you have very small children who would get a kick out of the "rides." We bought a Children's VIP (for years 3-12). There's no way any child over the age of 5 would enjoy what you get for that extra money.
This isn't a review for the Dinosaur exhibit, of course, but I wanted to post here, too, in case it could help someone.
The I-X Center zip-line was about the only saving grace. It was a 2 hour wait, however, so be ready for that possibility. It was fun for my 7 yr old and me.
I went when the car show was going on. It was pretty cool. When I was younger I went when they had the amusement park. It's a fun place to take the kids
In 2017 it's not unreasonable to expect to find all the information you need, particularly dates and ticket prices, online. Navigating and finding accurate information on IX Center's website is barely one step above a 2005 Geocities website. Using the phone menu to simply reach ticket office is also a test in patience. Cleveland wants to be a current and modern city. Start with fixing your convention center.
Love this place so much. If you want a break from going to outdoor fairs and do not want people stepping on your toes due to little room, this is the place to go! We did not try out every ride nor the food, but surely will next time! Cannot wait to go again with my family. Also, they have a ton of security and everyone got checked head to toe, ID adults, babies and all. So you know they work to keep the peice here.
I had never been there before, just now planning a trip to go there and I am having problems with the address. How in the F@ am I supposed to enter this into my GPS? It's not the fault of the expo center that someone gave the road a name with a nonstandard format. Nearby intersections aren't showing up when I try to enter them, either. So off I go out onto the highway, with two GPS units that I can't use, and I'm thinking: surely this road trip will not go well.
Things went better after I arrived. Parking was not too far away from the entrance. I parked right across from the parking tollbooth, where security also hangs out, and as expected, nothing bad happened to my car or its contents. Inside the building there was plenty of space allocated for our conference. Security was polite and moved us through quickly. Picking up our badges was easy and quick. The place was clean and attractive, and the food handlers served us well with snacks and drinks that were really quite tasty. Especially the grilled vegetables. I ate a lot of those.
This is a great venue for the Cleveland Auto Show. The building is huge. There is plenty of room to keep the event from getting crowded. Free parking on site is a plus as well. The only downside is the location. There is nothing to do nearby and few places to eat nearby.
I have worked several events here with various employers. Very spacious. Lots of parking. Good traffic for most events.
Oh my god, this place is huge! They also set up shows very professionally and have MASSIVE bathrooms. It's really cool.
Enjoyed the Auto Show. We attend every year to see the new makes/models. Wish they had more concept cars. Classic car portion is always good!
Been here for many different events. All were very fun and took hours to walk through. They have a permanent ferris wheel to ride that goes through the roof. The food is good and there's plenty of parking.
