The instructors are good. The ambiance really is a sauna space except that you've to do body-mind integration in 95-105 degrees. It would be nicer to have more variety of temperature in classes - having a few 75-80 degree classes in a week won't be that bad of an idea. Other than that I guess more ventilation/window to outside nature can give the mind more of a boost specially during Summers and during the daytime.
I will forever compare every yoga studio to this one, because it is the best there is!! Great community, amazing teachers with decades of experience, tons of variety of classes, and super fun workshops. I would highly recommend this studio to any yogi, whether you're a novice or an expert. Everyone is welcome at Inner Fire :)
First time I went I had a great experience with a really nice male teacher that made me feel welcome and comfortable.
Second time was a different female teacher that didn't make me or my friend feel welcome at all. She was rude and made me feel very uneasy. I had purchased a groupon for a month of unlimited yoga there and because of that, I never went back. Very disappointed.
I am visiting the city and dropped in to some Dr. Rudey or something teaching a class. I have never been treated as rudely and impolitely as I was just today at this studio and by this teacher. I never leave reviews and I had to leave this one, just karmic illness at this studio. I found another studio across town on the East side, kind people, good vibes, treated me like a human being. I would never ever go to this studio, I'd rather practice at home in my closet while construction was going on upstairs, seriously. 1/10
Instructors are very well trained and in tune with postures and guiding class. They are also very kind and educational with questions outside of class. I LOVE THE BIKRAM HEAT AND 90 minute classes!
Unfortunately, the space to practice is limited and I find on weekends, as a member just wanting to get a "chill" practice in the volume can be over whelming. It is also really annoying that classes overlap and give members like 5 mins to get settled on their mat and crowd into the room like a can of sardinesI have found this experience not so zen.
Also, because I am a member and this studio offers the most beneficial of all the the bikram 90 minute series in town, I was disappointed after signing up after a year to find they have cut a lot of the 90 minute classes so my availability is morning only. I hope innerfire expands their bikram practice or another business owner that focuses solely on bikram 90 series opens more availability for these favorable classes.
Until then I will accept and love the classes I get the opportunity to be a part of. I love my instructors here and the staff is very welcoming.
The teachers and staff are very knowledgeable at Inner Fire and the style of classes, primarily heated Bikram and flow classes, really forces me to focus and tune out my inner monologue. I can always count on coming away with a great workout yet relaxed and rejuvenated. They also have large number of classes and times to choose from, which makes it easy to fit in my schedule. I would say that the classes in general are not super beginner friendly as they can be pretty intense, especially if you've never taken hot yoga before. If you're new to yoga don't be deterred though, as they have more mellow community classes on Saturdays for only $10!
My husband and I have really found a second home at Inner Fire. Their excellent teachers continually inspire me to grow as a yogi and as a person. It is an all around great community and I can't say enough good things. Whether you are new or just looking for a new studio, I would recommend giving Inner Fire a try! Pros: Wide variety of class times and class styles (bikram, flow, sequence flow, yin, etc.), very knowledgeable teachers, great community. Cons: classes can get pretty packed in the winter (especially right after the new year for obvious reasons)
I went to a Friday night class on the West side. It was my first experience with hot yoga. I was practicing other forms of yoga at home. It was truly a spiritual experience. I have never sweat so much in my life but it truly gave me a sense of accomplishment walking out of the studio dripping sweat. I was not very experienced and the yoga instructor was very kind and helped me throughout the flow. I am truly grateful for my friend who introduced me to this place. I hope that I can make it back soon. Thank you Inner Fire Yoga!
