We had an excellent experience at Inn of the Turquoise Bear. Alex and Dan were hospitable and friendly, and the inn was beautiful. The small and large amenities were delightful - from the delicious daily breakfast to the wine hour, this place thought of everything.
It is full of charm, and made us feel like we were in our own little cottage.

    We will definitely be returning!

Actually, we thought we were staying at an inn where we’d previously been. Boy we’re we wonderfully surprised!

Our room (Edna St. Vincent Millay) was charming and comfortable. The bed was “just right” and there was a sofa and chair allowing for reading. There were large windows allowing for lots of natural light and nice views. There was an outdoor seating area with a table, chair and couch which we used when the weather warmed up. The grounds were quite nice.

The breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and a cooked to order hot entree each day (pancakes, frittata, and French toast or eggs or huevos rancheros)(they rotate between sweet and savory). The snacks included blondies, cookies and a chocolate pecan pieyummy!

Finally, the staff was superior. Dan was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We felt right at home in the great room where nightly wine is served.

It’s a short walk to the Santa Fe plaza and Canyon Drive.

We’d highly recommend the Inn of the Turquoise Bear.

Our first visit to Santa Fe, and we can't say enough about our amazing accomodations. We enjoyed wine in the evening with the other guests and a five star breakfast both mornings. Thank you so much to both Alex and Dan for such attention to detail. We had a beautiful pet friendly, historical room. Highly recommend this beautiful B&B.

We had a wonderful stay. The Spud Johnson room is cozy and quiet. It was great meeting and chatting with the hosts and other guests over breakfast. A short walk from the square, but nicely away from the crowds when you want to rest and relax. Highly recommend!

More comfortable than home! Outstanding food and gracious hospitality. The Inn has a positive energy that encourages guests to relax and renew. Every member of the staff—from the Innkeeper, Dan, the Assistant Innkeeper, Alex, to the cleaning and maintenance men and women—was helpful, smiling, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We shared Christmas with the wonderful staff and an exceptional group of guests. Can’t wait to return!

We were very pleased with our stay at this beautiful inn. We enjoyed everything from the greeting upon our arrival to the roaring fire in our cozy room, the O'Henry, as we settled in for the night. The steady supply of divine homemade treats and the variety of offerings for breakfast were exceptional. We also enjoyed the other guests we met and dined with during our stay. I have shared photos and the inn website with friends who are likely to be guests in the future. I must say that this resplendent inn, attentive service and delectable food provided the best B&B experience we've had anywhere. We hope to return!

This was my second visit to the Inn and it was just as delightful as the first! This property has such beauty and character. The Innkeepers, Dan and Alex, could not have been more gracious and accommodating. They provided a variety of suggestions for local activities and the breakfast was amazing. If your travels take you to Santa Fe, this is absolutely the only place you should stay.

Inn of the Turquoise Bear is an exceptional hotel concept. If in their advertising, they have said that staying with them is just like being at home, it is true and more, because in many ways it is better than being at home.
The first impression comes from the exterior of the inn, with terraces, gardens with trees, flowers, bird feeders, fountains, armchairs, hammocks. And then you find, the living room, dining room and rooms with special decorations; everything impeccably clean and full of details that are meant to pamper and make customers feel comfortable. All this on top of the incredible hospitality, exquisite breakfasts, coffee and delicious pastries all day and in the afternoon wine and snacks.
With respect to the pets, they are not the pets of the guests, they are one guest more. And finally, one is in a place where Dan (The Inn Keeper) and the staff are constantly looking for ways to make your stay a pleasant experience.
If you ask me a word to describe my stay: "perfect".

From the moment our party of four arrived we were all completely enchanted. The gardens were beautiful, and the rooms welcoming and impeccable. We thought the gracious welcome and that amazing breakfast started our vacation off perfectly! The only negative was that we had only booked for one evening. All of us agreed we will be back to the Turquoise Bear soon. This is one of the BEST in New Mexico.

    Thanks for a perfect stay!

Dan, Alex, and their team are wonderful hosts. I felt like a welcomed guest at the home of a good friend. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. The breakfasts are epic (a different smoothie every day, eggs made to order, delicious house specials). Wine on the patio is not to be missed, a perfect chance to enjoy good company while watching birds dart in and out of the beautiful garden. Freshly baked goodies are available every day (with pie on Fridays). My only regret is that I didn't spend more time just enjoying the inn. Next time!

Dan and Alex were extremely pleasant and fun to visit with. Breakfast each morning was amazing. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Lots of stairs! Enjoyed our time there and especially the 5:00 happy hour with wine and other guests. Truly, lots of fun!!

We had a wonderful time! The grounds are beautiful and the inn was a 10-15 minute walk from the square for shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the nightly wine and conversations with other guests on the veranda.

Above and beyond customer service, we felt more like family then just being a guest! The food was incredible, along side the daily treats and snacks, all homemade with love! I only wish we had more time to spend there. Downtown Santa Fe is within walking distance, which was perfect and very dog friendly! We will absolutely be back and cant wait to plan our next adventure!!

Serene with an amazing Innkeeper and a great place for some solitude close to the touristy Santa Fe spaces. It's a little oasis in the midst of the chaos with a very quaint atmosphere.

Just had a wonderful weekend stay with several friends. This is our second stay at the Inn. Dan and Alex are consummate hosts-warm, gracious, and knowledgeable about the estates incredible history. The Inn offers beautiful rooms with New Mexico charm as well as multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy chatting with other guests or just to relax.

When you stay here be sure to leave time to enjoy the delicious homeade breakfast they provide on site. You should NOT miss it!

Can't wait until we can come back and stay again!
