This is my least favorite Hyatt. I've stayed here about five times over several years. There are always issues. This time, only one of the restaurants was open, with limited hours, and room service was closed all week. I thought of keeping food in my room, but the advertised refrigerator isn't actually a fridge (which would be 35 degrees) but a "cooler" which is kept at 45 degrees and not safe for storing food. There are no other restaurants close to the hotel. There was also construction noise starting at 7am every day. These are just some examples of the many things that were inconvenient. They should have notified guests about the lack of amenities - I would have stayed elsewhere.
This hotel is located 20 minutes walking distance to Downtown Chicago. So you'll need to take a taxi or you can walk it if you like. Hotel is clean and well kept. Room service is on point and great amenities like cooler in the room, safe, Starbucks coffee machine in your room. Great Gym, descent size pool and sauna.
Great hotel, connected to the South building of McCormick Place. Arc Bar has good food and a sufficient beer selection. Beautiful rooms, larger than many hotels in the city. I just wish there were more restaurants and bars around in walking distance. Not the hotel's fault, but I wouldn't stay there if I was looking to explore the city more. You pretty much have to take a cab to get into downtown.
Everyone at this Hyatt was super friendly. The rooms were spotless with nice high end furnishings. The food downstairs was excellent and convenient. It is located in a busy area but busy mostly from taxi traffic, not stand still traffic. The views overlook the city and Lake Michigan. The parking garage wasn't crowded.
I had the skirt steak. It was presented very well and had good flavor.. A couple of suggestions. I would slice the steak before serving and suggest it be cooked medium for maximum tenderness. Also the Third Star sign should be more elegant. With these suggestions and a small candle for each four top I would give it 5 stars!
This is a great hotel if you're in town for a conference at the McCormick center. The hotel is directly across the street from the center. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very accommodating. You're a short ride from downtown and there are many options for food in the area. I would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here for a no-kids date night. The room was large, with a king bed and a beautiful view of the city. Most important, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Hotel's Third Star restaurant was excellent. We had a fantastic time and would recommend Hyatt Regency McCormick to anyone staying downtown.
Excellent facilities with several options for food within the hotel. We liked the market. However, the lines are long in the morning. Rooms are well appointed, clean and safe. Hotel overlooks lake Michigan and is very lovely. Be aware there is very little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so you will need to uber or taxi to other restaurants. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Staff was friendly, professional and quick. Gym was nice, full of machines, and clean. Wish the rooms had refrigerators instead of coolers although there is an option to call and have the service provided for a refrigerator, but i did not want to put forth the effort. Walking bridge to the convention center is perfect. Room service always came earlier than estimated (a plus when you're hungry). Enjoyed my stay.
We were amazed coming into the lobby with the scale and quality of the environment. The staff are very professional and kind as well as very thorough. The room itself was very clean and upscale. I especially liked the curved desk provided with two chairs as it allowed us to focus on our work instead of one of us working while sitting in the bed. The large glass shower stall was incredible along with the rest of the bathroom. There was ample room around the sink for our personal hygiene products. We were very impressed by the recreation center. Not only were the appearance of the machines modern and sleek, they worked very smoothly. The pool was two lanes with enough seating.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Loved having a conference here! Well laid out with plenty of rooms and restrooms. The building itself was clean and well maintained. The only downsides were due to the restaurants. The food was very overpriced even for Chicago and the staff was consistently rude no matter which restaurant I chose. Due to the location of the building, it was difficult to leave to find other food. That being said, I would enjoy going back there for another conference, I would just be more strategic with my meals.
Good location and information of the surrounding area. Rooms were nice and cleaned daily. Only issue we had was ordering room service and it took nearly twice as long to get here as they said. That being said, the food was top notch, and worth the wait.

Hotel was under renovation during our stay, so restaurant and bar had limited service. Room was very good. Staff was great; they were very polite and helpful. Location was outstanding (close to museums and attractions). Price was very good considering the location.
This is a nice business hotel. They've redone the lobby and it is great for a drink after a long day of work at a McCormick show. The area doesn't offer much other than the McCormick place, so if you're not in Chicago for a show, I'd explore other options. Self parking here is reasonable by Chicago standards and the to-go cafe in the morning is nice to have.
