This is a very nice hotel, especially for the price. The beds are comfortable, everything is new, and they have the softest towels I've ever used. However, the clientele are mostly business people, which means they are extremely uptight and highstrung. We were given a noise violation warning at 6:30pm for watching Elf on tv (not loudly). The employees felt sympathy for us, but as a "business hotel" they stood by the complaint, saying if it happened again we'd be thrown out immediately. I understand at a hotel everyone is on different time schedules and needs to be mindful of their neighbors, but that is ridiculous, and because the hotel stood by the complaint we were uncomfortable and paranoid the rest of our stay. If you're looking for a hotel with friends or family, only pick this hotel if you're just going to be there to sleep, otherwise go someplace friendlier.

We had a very nice experience. The room was comfortable and well laid out. Lots of outlets and a good bathroom.

It was ok. Shower was a bit touchy for hot and cold. Hard to use the restroom in middle of night without waking partner and/or others. Bathroom light is bright, and the glass sliding door doesn't filter out a lot of the light or the sounds coming from the bathroom. Other than that, that facility was above average.

Will never stay in a Hyatt Place again. There are no vending machines, no room service, and a Mt. Dew from the front desk was $3.18! That’s ridiculous. They are not hand brewing soda in the back room for goodness sake. I had a sleeping child and no way to get any food or drinks. I was told all Hyatt Place hotels are the same in service or lack thereof.
You can hear everything in the hall, next rooms and highway far more than I have ever experienced in my years of traveling. Zero sound proofing.
The shower pan could use a good dose of bleach too.response / report this review -

The room was great and the prices are very affordable. Great restaurants at the hotel and very short distance. Very convenient location next to the conference center.

Hotel was very nice, big rooms with a sitting area. Some down sides though. Their trendy frosted glass bathroom doors let a lot of noise and light through, so can be a problem if you are trying to go to the bathroom or shower while others are sleeping. Second, the internet was very unstable, both at night and the morning. I would expect better from a brand new hotel with a convention center.

We have stayed in comparatively priced hotels, but the Hyatt Place was better than all of them.
Tha staff was very professional and kind. The room was clean and more spacious than others; however, we did stay in a handicapped accessible room. The bar remained open until 2 am, and sitting outside by the huge fireplace was very relaxing. The included breakfast was very good -- they even served almond milk!response / report this review -

Late night staff is great, hotel lobby and room very clean..
Cookies = $4.50 each..(yikes).. But breakfast is free, gotta love that..
Toilet seat barely being held on, not a nice surprise after hours on the road..
Top drawer of dresser won't stay closed, no idea why, agitating OCD..grrrrrr..
Bed is comfy enough though..

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I had to eat here for a business meeting and it was 17$ for some wilted lettuce and lukewarm soup. It was serve yourself only and they made me reuse my plate! They don't even have water. Seriously, it was the worst and they are taking advantage of people that are stuck there. There are many great restaurants around Novi, please try those!

Attached to Suburban Showcase - so you are paying extra for convenience. Staff is friendly and the do good jobs. Rooms are clean and nice.

Very much enjoy our annual stay at this hotel. The staff is amazing, rooms and clean and comfortable and breakfast each morning is great. Only thing that would make this hotel better would be the addition of a hot tub.

This is a fantastic place to stay while performing in or traveling through Detroit. Just far enough out of the center of the city to make it convenient and easy to get in and out as you need to. The free breakfast, safe parking, and 24hr menu are also really great for people who work late and leave early!

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of hotel breakfasts and this one managed to wow me. Stay here, get up for the breakfast you won't regret it. Eggs, Bacon, sausage, potatoes, oat meal, a selection of fruits and breads, yogurt, freshly mascerated berries. French toast croutons, yes I said it. FRENCH TOAST CROUTONS! But if you're on a diet of some sort this hotel brings an extra added bonus with it's industry leading rooms. My room was modern and cleaned with painstaking effort. I had all the comforts of home and ended up having a great night of sleep. The staff are friendly and efficient. I was in my room 2 minutes after walking through the doors of the lobby. If you're looking for a great hotel in the Detroit are end your search right here. This hotel is a cut above the rest.
