I stopped in for the first time at this location and ordered Take-Out.
The restaurant seems small compared to the Sunset Blvd location and I did not notice a buffet at this location ,although I did not walk into the dining area.

1 meat and 3 sides for $6.95 not a bad deal imo.
I ordered pork plates for myself and the better half with varying sides
The pork bbq has a vinegar taste to it so if your not a fan ask for some red sauce or mustard sauce to get rid of the twang.
The sides were all pretty good, real mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole was good as well.
The staff were all pleasant and my order was ready to go within a few minutes.

The location on Sunset was great! If you want to go to a bbq and southern cooking buffet, this is probably the best. It's the only one I've been to that's actually a restaurant and bar with quality food and good variety.

The Hudson's near Red Bank was pretty good at one time, but it appears to be on the downhill slide. The buffet is gone. Some items are no longer on the menu.

The barbecue itself is acceptable, made so you can flavor it any way you want, and the choice of sauces is good if you are not a fan of the Carolina mustard-based. The thing that strikes me, though, is the salt content of some of the things we had. It was way too much. There is a salt shaker on the table if you want to add it, but you sure as heck can't take it out.

Still, I realize it might be fine for some tastes. I am giving it a low rating because I really feel like it was not a good value for the money.

I have been here about 3 * this last time was just okay seems like the food has gotten a little bit on the mushy side. For instance the peach cobbler was like eating 3 day old oat meal and the rest of the food seems like it was sitting in the buffet a little to long. The garlic mashed potatoes were way too strong on the garlic and you would expect the gravy to be home made it sure seems like it was instant. Though this wasn't my best review of the restaurant I will still go back and give it another try
