Love this place. Very quiet and peaceful. The only thing that could improve would be the narrow drive ways. They are too narrow for a big camper.

The campsites in Camping Area B are beautiful. The sites are from 50 to 75 feet apart on the waterfront. Also, waterfront sites seemed to be more level. We saw backside sites that looked a little steep. Asphalt roads the entire park. Staff were ultra friendly. Beautiful camping whether in A or B. Negatives - Gift shop low on selection in the Fall. Wifi only available next to gift shop and said to be available in villas. Cell phone spotty. Did any of these matter? Not really.

Had a sisters get away very enjoyable the scenic is gorgeous very peaceful you can go kayaking fishing or do nothing and just enjoy. Prices are very fair there's a convenience store if you need the necessities and a little bit more. Location is very easy to find.

Best campground in the Piedmont. Located on beautiful Lake Murray, SC secluded camp spaces. Even when it's full you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. I challenge you to find a nicer campground anywhere in the foothills or lowlands. This place is outstanding and highly recommend it to all campers. Plenty of facilities, close to both small towns of Prosperity and Chapin for restocking. Boat ramps and launches. We love this place!

Excellent campground with lots of space between the sites and a great lakeside location! Also a nice place to do some biking both on the roads and off-road. Will definitely return!

This is one of my favorite places to camp. The sites are all shaded and have a good view of Lake Murray. The rangers are all very knowledgeable about the fishing on the lake. We have been twice this year.

Really liked it. Originally had site in campground B but last minute changed to campground A. Glad I did. Campground A had more room and was less crowded. If you want a more wooded site then campground B would be your choice. Great for bicycles. No complaints.

One of my all time favorite places to vacation. The villas are cozy and private with a great view, its like a small lakeside paradise! They fully equiped with a nice porch. Hiking trails are easy but lead to great views, and there are tons of great spots for a picnic or gathering. Its not overly crowded or expensive. I recommend taking kayaks for the lake.

We found a nice quiet campsite where we could drive in with our small trailer. Most sites are either on the water or across the narrow road. The road is narrow and tight so could be a challenge to back into for some large trailers. We found the camping very pleasant and quiet. Mostly families enjoying being close to the water. Many campers seemed to be there for a long period.

I always enjoy taking the kids here. My only adice is to call ahead and reserve a shelter we always get one with electricity and water for the radio and the kids rinsing off after the lake.. very relaxed and we can bring the dogs

It is a pretty place, but it was very over-crowded it took us hours to get a place to picnic. The camp sites are booked out through the entire summer and there is no designated place to swim. I do not think I would go back without a boat. The shoreline is very rocky and inaccessible in places.

One of my favorite SC parks. The location is awesome and has incredible views of Lake Murray all the way around. We camp here often even though we live close by. My only complaint is its so popular its very hard to get a weekend campsite!

The site is real nice. Just be aware that you really need to have a boat to fully get all you can. The trails are nice but all pine and oak trees overlooking the lake. Not much variety. I couldn't find the playground. The cabin was nice but not cleaned like a hotel room. Doesn't bother me but my wife had comments about it. If you are traveling with a clean freak keep that in mind. I had a three bedroom cabin. It was spacious and had all the things you would need for a few days stay.
