I love stepping back in time but with all the modern conveniences. My friend and I were bicycling the Katy with Bubba's Pampered Pedalers and this was our stop one night. We were thrilled to find 2 bathrooms in our room but the most wonderful surprise were those beds! What kind of mattresses are they? Seriously, I'm running out and buying that pillow top mattress tomorrow once you share the name of it with me. I had the best night's sleep of my life!

The staff was very helpful and our meal in the ballroom that evening was delicious. P.S. It's a good transportation opportunity for someone; couldn't get a taxi and no Uber. It was a hot week and we were craving a Starbucks Frappuccino but didn't want to bike there. One of our traveling staff did finally take pity on us and drove us the short distance there.

    Yes, excellent!

Came to town for a wrestling tournament so maybe was a bit much considering our reason but lovely hotel, nice staff!! I would love to come back for a nice romantic getaway with my husband next time! Book the spa and just relax small rooms but for the age and charm, no complaints about that!!! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!!

If you like old hotels with lots of history and tiny bathrooms with zero counter space, then this place is for you. The floors are nasty looking, like they haven't been replaced or cleaned in 20+ years. The housekeeping staff are the noisiest I've ever heard. The constant slamming of doors is ridiculous. Soundproof doors would do wonders! There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms so I can only imagine the amount of mold hidden behind those walls. Needless to say we won't be staying here again. If it weren't for a wedding we probably wouldn't have chosen to stay here to begin with.

Was very enjoyable, like stepping back in time, just wish I'd had more time to take pictures and have a massage/ and a drink in the bar. I really enjoyed the short time we had there, and am hoping to go back, sometimes in the near future!!!

You know, some "old" hotels are just old and can't be revived. This one was so beautifully restored and well cared for. They even had a guest laundry. The shower while small was modern and our room had a separate room with a nice sink and vanity so that one person could use that while the other one was in the shower. Nice and quiet too.

Beautiful, well preserved vintage Americana. Tucked away in quiet downtown with easy access to everything. Comfortable beds and pillows. Just loved the decor of the hotel, so happy we came and we will return.
