Just received an order I placed on December 3 that I had to send 3 emails about (no response ever) and call for status. It's missing a dozen and a half tamales and what I did receive was packaged poorly. I'm not even sure they are safe to eat. Left a message 4 hours ago and haven't gotten a call back and now their voice mail is full. Sent another email, but likely won't get any replies. I have a party on Friday that I will now need to go out and find tamales for in NYC. Totally not cool. I ordered two years ago with no issue, but something has changed. I like their tamales but will not order again. The cost of shipping is ridiculous and their lack of response to a customer who placed an order of over $200 tells me they really don't care. Very disappointed.

TERRIBLE. For everything you have read that was good about this place, it's now all gone, and everything you read that was wrong is TRIPLED at least. I used to love this place, but the ownership has ran into the ground. The best parts of this restaurant was the buffet, and the little sweet lady who served you (she's been canned), and the open atmosphere. Since then they've cancelled the buffet, said they cut their offerings in half because the sweet old lady isn't there to make it and closed off more than half the restaurants space so it feels like you're ordering food in a broom closet. The owner was incredibly rude and refused to help me, instead she said I can wait on her son to get out of the freezer. Overall TERRIBLE service and terrible product, which is a sad decline from what I used to know about this establishment

While I have not been to the restaurant yet, they did come to my workplace and set up in our cafeteria today. The tamales were great. i had two of the poblano and corn tamales. Very friendly servers and one lady whom said she was the owner was very friendly and talkative to the people in the line. After seeing what they had to offer in a limited setting i would definitely give this place a visit soon.

Very disappointed. Stopped in after passing this place many times and picked up 3 varieties of meat tamales. When I bit into them all I could see was masa. It looked like the ratio of masa to meat was 95 to 1 and I'm not exaggerating. To bad, had high expectations from a place with a name with tamale in it.

Ok here is the deal. If you are going to have a restaurant have food available for sale. Pretty basic. The tamales were okay. Most were frozen then reheated which is not what we wanted. The salsa is excellent. Do better, being "hip"only works for so long. My opinion is if you want authentic tamales, go to the north side and skip the coolness factor.

I took my family here to try their first ever tamales. Even though we are vegetarians, they had enough vegetarian options and they were all flavorful and fulfilling. It is safe to say that now my family is fan of tamales!

The tamales are more masa than anything else. I was intrigued by the fact that they have a good variety of tamales, but they are just not tasty. The black beans were the best thing there.

Flavored Masa no filling to speak of. I asked where the meat was and was told its all mixed together in the Masa then shaped into a tamale. I swear, I saw nothing but masa. I did taste something but I couldnt see it. The chocolate tamale tasted like you wanted a cake but didnt have the ingredients and compromised (they did let me try it for FREE but I didnt finish it) I wasnt impressed especially at 9.00 for ONE tamale. The service was very good.

They came to my company as a vendor and absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! No flavor at all, they had some Azteca Tamale Pie, a barf bag was needed!!!!! HORRIBLE

They had a great buffet for $14. Huge variety, including dessert tamales. However, the tamales were left in a heat pan too long and we're mushy from the steam. But they still tasted great. All in all, I would reccomend

So many varieties of Tamales, Crawfish, Wild Mushrooms & Goat Cheese! And Not Too Expensive and the atmosphere is Great! A new Sushi place just opened next door. You Must try this place and take a couple orders home with you! Constantine and His Mom Are Delightful Peeps! Hot Damn Tamales Is Great!
