I came here for something simple but instead I got an extremely opinionated and narrow minded point of view from someone who seemed to be the store owner.
A conversation about an overpriced water filter turned into politics all of a sudden. This guy will turn any conversation into a political discussion.
Now, there's nothing wrong with this but what is wrong about it is that he felt it necessary to spread his strange and narrow minded opinions about "border hoppers" and "Muslim terrorists" without any of us even mentioning a single thing close to this type of discussion. I'm assuming he did this because I obviously look latina and another person in my group looked middle eastern. Either way, we tried to be respectful of his opinions but he would not let the conversation go, making us all extremely uncomfortable in the process.
As a result, none of us will ever step foot in this store ever again. And truthfully, I don't like the idea of deliberately handing my money to a racist guy who says things like "I'm not racist but I do believe in profiling people. What if 3 black guys come into a white neighborhood? You need to be suspicious of them". I wasn't even mad, I was just highly uncomfortable.
So, a message to any future customers. If handing your hard earned money to an openly racist store owner feels like a personal problem for you then I suggest you go to a different, overpriced vitamin store.
I know I won't be coming back and my mom (who usually gets her face wash from here) says she will also not be stepping foot in here either.response / report this review -

What a great place, new ownership has done so many new things, more products, better organized, discount pricing and the staff is so helpful. Today I bought Natural Calm, Natures Plus Enzymes, 2 Bottles of Recharge (more natural version of Gatorade). Thank you Ruth, I'll be back soon, the place looks awesome!

The Honey Tree is the best health food store if your looking for great products, knowledgeable sales people, the best gluten free bread around and a good deal. It has been my go to store for over 20 years.
