  To be honest, I wanted to see it, but I wasn't expecting much. It ended up being much better than I expected. On a December afternoon it wasn't crowded- just a few other people. The main inside area was surprisingly large and we watched a nice movie about the history. The observation area had very nice views. Overall a very cool and unique experience for the kids. Some tight stairs to climb, but not too bad.

  Mortimer was a great tour guide, really unique place with a really unique history. Fair priced, knowing profits go to upkeep.

  Interesting kind of art. I like the detail. Didn't make it in time for the tour. You can only go inside with a tour that is around $7 per adult.

  Cool to visit at least once in your life. Inside of the elephant is pretty neat. View from the top is nice also.

  The first time I found Lucy, I was riding my motorcycle down the Jersey shore to Wildwood and Cape May from Connecticut I think I was 19 or 20. I stumbled upon Lucy and stopped for pictures and a cool drink with a friend.
  
  Recently, I was telling my wife about it and she thought it was a cool; if not kitschy thing to do on a boring Sunday - drive down the Jersey Shore and pop in to see Lucy.
  
  It's actually quite a remarkable piece of history - built in the 19th century and the interior reflects the style and beauty of the period.
  
  In short, it's not as kitschy as you think.

  We had a lot of fun visiting Lucy. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the gift shop has relatively good prices and you get free one hour parking. Had to dock stars, however, because I feel the attraction is overpriced. The tour is roughly 20 minutes long and costs $8/person. It is historical and I love supporting the attraction, but I don't think I'll be returning because of the price.

  This is a quick visit, maybe not super interesting for younger kids but definitely worth a stop. As you're driving down the main drag, you can't help but notice Lucy (since she is several stories high). It's fun to learn about her history, the fact that she was moved a short distance to her present location, and learning about the campaign to save her. The view from up top is good, and it's fun to see her painted on the town's water tower. Definitely worth stopping!

  I Love Lucy.
  I mean a 65 foot tall elephant looking out to the Jersey shore. This is the oldest roadside attraction in America and well worth the $8 tour fee.
  The architecture and design of a building that went up in 1881 and still hosts thousands a year is amazing
  You'll Love Lucy too!

  I loved it. My husband said it wasn't the weirdest place hes taken me just the weirdest entrance. You go in through back leg. The view from the top is awesome. Its actually beautiful inside.

  Lucy's was awesome. I couldn't believe she was built in the 1800s!! Going on the tour of her inside is a must.

  This is the world famous Lucy the Elephant. From an early 1900's hotel to an historic landmark, take the tour to the top and help support this national treasure. There is a gift shop and plenty of food nearby.

  Friendly staff and a great historical site. Climbing to the top of Lucy offers amazing skyline view of the island. Fun for both adults and children.
