NOT A GOOD HOTEL to stay at, especially if you are visiting LA. Hotel needs lots of improvement. Rooms need to be fixed and renovated. Bathrooms do not function properly. Staff is NOT friendly. And neither are they willing to work w you or accommodate you. You are able to get a better hotel for this price. Management needs a major workshop class on customer service.

One of the nicest hotels in the LA area. Great boutique hotel, modern, upgraded rooms comparable to/exceeds most high end chain properties. Always something new and exciting each time I visit. Great pool, patio, courtyard and wifi. many places to just chill. Very International feel with many languages being heard throughout property. Makes you miss European vacations.

I wish google provides me with 0 star option. Starting from the rude/unfriendly staff to pathetic maintenance of the rooms to minting money - this place has it all. We stayed for 4 nights and I must admit it was a horrible experience. The room had no heater and the in built one wasnt working. When asked for a heater, as it was damn cold - the front desk actually gave us unnecessary suggestions and acted rude. We left it as we had to start early next morning. The morning begins with no hot water in the bathroom. Took bath with cold water and informed about the situation. They said they took care of it when we came back to the hotel. The second day - same situation. No hot water, no heater. Third day, we thought we had enough and wanted a change of room for which they were very hesitant. When we moved to the new room , we realized the air conditioning system does not work and no heater as such. So we returned to our previous room and the next day we vacated. Amidst all this drama, the house keeping guys do not replace any of the shampoos, tissues etc in the washrooms. Not sure what they do.

Told we could check in at 12:30 & no early check in fee. Couldn't check in till 3:30. No bar, no restaurant, under renovation. Only has food for breakfast. Sign everywhere saying FREE appetizers cocktails, join on the courtyard 5-7pm. When I asked it's only Sun.& Mon. When I questioned the desk clerk, she said oh it's subject to change. The closest eatery was a 20 min walk up hill. Room was huge but looks like furniture from Goodwill. Nothing matched Small pillows had to ask for 4 more. Bizarre place & way to expensive for nothing offered to a guest.

You get what you pay for. It is a nice hotel but I wouldn't take a date there as a treat or a romantic getaway. I would say this hotel is for the budget conscious person.
It is nice but nothing special. Although you will receive everything as advertised. If I wasn't out to impress anyone and was just staying on business. I would definitely stay here.response / report this review -

Great hotel for reasonable price! The rooms had tile floor and not carpet, which is a big plus, and also balcony. I liked the bright light in the bathroom for putting makeup on. The bed was confortable but the pillows wasn't.

We only stayed 1 night and everything was better than expected based on previous ratings. Our room was perfect and very clean. The bar downstairs was closed down at 8 pm and didn’t seem to be in use so that was a bit of a let down being part of the reason why I picked this place but other than that it was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place or stay there again myself.

Hotel is beautiful but the area is not . You have to pay for parking $24 a day which I think it's bad. If I am staying at your hotel and spending a pretty penny you shouldn't charge me and if the area is bad why charge me that much or even charge at all . Its not my fault your hotel is located in a bad area and there are no parking outside the gate. When I was leaving the hotel I had to beep the horn so they can open the gate and it was the same coming in. The room is pretty but it was small for the price. I will not stay here again . like never . The pool is nice they have the tall trees to cover the bad area lol and the breakfast is good. We also didn't get the double bed they claim it was sold out but the hotel looked empty . anyways good luck to everyone !

Nice hotel and I can recommend it. Good location, next to the Red Metro line and bus stations so you can easily reach many of the tourist spots. The Griffith Observatory is only one hour by walk away. Rooms were clean and tidy, but some of the sockets in our room didn't work. The shower could have been cleaner. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The staff was professional, helpful, and courteous; the room was comfortable and quiet; the breakfast was outstanding (custom omelets, fresh fruit, good coffee). My only suggestion is that the lighting in the bathroom be improved to make putting on makeup easier -- a lighted magnifying mirror would have been very welcome.

Very good accommodation! Comfortable room and facility (the bathroom will be better if wallpaper to be replaced to tiles). Excellent breakfast! Recommended!

Hotel is very nice. The pics that they show online as the front of the hotel is actually the back. The front looks mediocre and the surrounding area is not that great. Overall my stay was wonderful, the complimentary breakfast and complimentary appetizers in the evening were awesome! All of the staff were very nice and made you feel welcomed. Only down side was I thought I was getting a king bed but only had a full size. Rooms are very nice though (NO CARPET!!!) and also the balcony overlooking the very comfortable seating area. The pool area was also extremely nice, I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was beautiful! It was clean and renovated. We brought our dog with us and they accommodated us comfortably. The breakfast was great. The grounds were beautiful and the parking was secure. The pool wasn't heated, which was a shame, but all the other amenities were wonderful!

The hotel was very nice overall. The room that we stayed in needed a little work - maybe a fresh coat of paint or some new grout in the bathroom- but they were actively working on other rooms so I think they are addressing that. The property is beautiful, even though it's not in the best neighborhood. It is, however, about a block from the Metro so you can get anywhere in town within minutes. Breakfast was included and was very good. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
