Never actually stayed in the hotel, but the lounge is wonderful! We come to hear the summer music series they do and we love the entertainment they bring in. Cocktails are great and it's just a classy, fun environment!
I love the outdoor area and the warm fire pits! Nothing better than a cold drink and a warm fire with friends!
Had drinks in their outdoor patio. Very nice ambiance and super comfortable couch and fire pit. Service was good and fast. Only wish their happy hour drink options had more variety.
Ridiculously over priced hotel. I travel frequently for business and am always looking for boutique and unusual places to stay to break up the monotony of Hilton's and Hyatt's, and was really looking forward to Casa 425 based on the website.
It is probably a fine hotel for a get away, absolutely not good for business travel. All rooms are accessed via exterior doors that open onto a courtyard, and you can hear EVERYTHING from the courtyard in your room. There is frequently live music as well until 9pm or later. There is also ample street noise from surrounding businesses and bars, as well as a freight train near by that runs all night. Good luck getting to sleep early if you have a 7am meeting, like I did.
The lounge is fine, decent wine menu and very limited food menu. No valet parking was a surprise for the price, parking is at the public garage across the street, which at 6am doesn't feel very safe.
The room is more IKEA than boutique, and uninspired. My tv didn't work, it was stuck on one channel and no amount of fiddling could get it to change (and I'm pretty tech savvy). The bathtub was dirty and had rust around the drain, and the shower had mold stains in the grout.
Just disappointed. I will book elsewhere when I'm next in the area.
Service is terrible we sat 15 minutes before I had to get up for the waiter to acknowledge us. Not crowded Meanwhile never came back to ask if we wanted more Tacos since it is Taco Tuesday. Tacos are good but they need better service. Not impressed
My husband and I had a great stay at this quaint boutique hotel! The rooms are nice, clean and have a unique layout (the tub is in the center of the room, haven't seen that before). It is in the best part of town, right across the street from tons of great shops and restaurants. We will try to make it back again sometime to see everything it offers since this trip was a short one!
Great lounge area to come with friends have a few cocktails. Atmosphere is pleasant for conversation in the outside area where I usually sit. Drinks can be a little pricey but are generally well poured/made and happy hour drinks help with the bill. The appetizers are tasty and I highly recommend the pork poutine fries for anyone looking for a savory sharable snack.
I'll be completely honest: I typically don't go for the pricier hotels when I stay in an unfamiliar city. I always felt like the money spent produced no appreciable difference. A place to stay, a TV and a shower. Casa 425 changed that. It's situated in a really nice part of Claremont. There's restaurants and theaters walkable, and is far enough from the train station that the train noises are not noticable. WiFi is always a plus, and the speed is remarkably useful. I've stayed at places where the WiFi leaves you wanting. Casa 425 does not suffer from this affliction. The continental breakfast isn't much to write home about, but it does the job. No points lost for breakfast. The staff is friendly, which I think is taken for granted in the hospitality industry. Thanks for that. The mattress is comfortable, not too firm, not too soft. The provided soaps smell awesome and I'm going to find out if they're available back where I'm from. As a whole, Casa 425 ticks a lot of boxes I didn't know were boxes because I'd been trying to stay sub-$100-per-night. I'll definitely be returning to Casa 425 the next time I come to Claremont. Oh, and there are Ingress portals and Pokemon Go Pokestops and gyms everywhere, if you're into that sort of thing.
Nice clean hotel. This is the kind of hotel I'd like to stay at with my wife while vacationing. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable and the courtyard/bar area is comfortable. The staff is always pleasant too. It's not my choice for business travel though. I like my digital key, large lobbies you can hide in and get work done, lounges that are open late and full breakfast options.
It's a beautiful hotel in a pretty and very accessible area. Most of our guests stay at this hotel and always enjoy it. The lobby is comfortable, and the adjoining lounge is a nice place to grab a drink while waiting for someone.
Love the lounge, great happy hour. Our waitress mixed our dunks and they were excellent. We have also stayed here a few times and really enjoyed ourselves. The room are luxy.
We attended a weekend Conference at this hotel. The entire staff was helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and kind. The Conference Center was perfect for our event--private and convenient for our needs. The banquet meals were delicious--the best hotel food I've ever eaten! The room was comfortable and quiet.
