The front desk folk seemed a little unfriendly to us. Other hotel staff were super welcoming and helpful, however. We brought a dog and liked our room. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is beautiful, can't beat the beach access. The floors are all tile on the first floor at Lea, so sound was an issue, lots of echoes, even though all guests were very considerate and quiet.

Amazing weekend great big rooms had partial ocean view. Still an amazing view of the ocean there is a lot of work being done but didn’t mind it is a beautiful place with all the work being done I can’t wait to see what it looks like when they finish. Great staff and great place to stay will definitely be going back

Jeanette at the front desk was able to check us in early and she was very friendly and had answers for all our questions. She gave us ideas on places to eat etc. The whole staff was always greeting us and telling us to have a nice day every time we saw them. Our housekeeper Chanterra was the sweetest!! Our room was beautiful and CLEAN!! We stayed in one of their top floor oceanfront rooms with a very comfortable king size bed. The bed is very important to me being i have a very bad back, so staying at the best of hotels hasn't always been pleasant being their mattresses are not always comfortable. Thankfully Holiday Isle had a very very comfortable bed! We stayed for 3 nights and every night was a pleasure to go to sleep! I would definitely recommend this hotel!! I look forward to stay again! Beautiful location right on the ocean!

Yes they are under construction but I didn't run into any problems with that. The room was clean, and very comfortable. I had a nice experience here. Definitely come back.

The staff was excellent! The room was clean and well stocked! Loved the ocean view room! We were married in front of the ocean right in front of the hotel. It was perfect! We will definitely be back soon!!

Even though the property is going through extensive renovations AND repair from Hurricane Irma, the rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff is friendly, prompt, and helpful. The part they have finished is beautiful and they are doing a wonderful job restoring the rest. It is one of the few places that sits right on the beach. The kids loved the bunk beds and we appreciated the privacy wall.

My wife and I just stayed for one night The room was renovated, bathroom was very modern and new. No HD in the room, the construction Room was basic, beds were comfortable. The staff wanted $20 on your card for incidentals, they stated they don't take cash??? Who doesn't take cash??? I've stayed in upscale hotels and they've taken cash. Their machine was down so they had to enter your card # manually. I informed them that was a lot of work for $ 20 and then you have that important credit card information laying around?? They looked at me like I had 6 heads and said "Sir we shred this information." This handwritten information makes it easily accessible to anyone which is why I prefer to utilize cash for incidentals.The front desk staff needs training in customer service. The $$ that they're using to renovate needs to be used to train the staff in hospitality as well in diversity trainingThe pictures of the hotel look nice but don't be fooled.Don't waste your $$$.

Clean room and comfy big bed. Great view. However there was an event going on which welcomed anyone to come even if you weren't staying at the hotel which made the pool so full that we as guest couldn't use it and couldn't take our 9 month down for the music being so loud. Also the guest didn't have any parking due to this as well. We were not told at the time of booking or check in.. while I support the cause of the event I felt it was poorly planned for guest. They are undergoing renovations which didn't really affect us. The room were very moist which caused our daughter breathing problems so I hope that issue is fixed with the renovation. We really didn't get to enjoy much because of the crowd from the event. House keeping wasn't friendly.. although staff was very nice. Really wish we could of enjoyed more of what this place has to offer.. if you are wanting a quite relaxing weekend by pool and beach make sure to call and check for special events before hand. I'd stay here again if there was no event going on and the moisture in the rooms was not as bad.

It is on the beach, nice redone (some rooms are not finished yet) hotel, decent standard pool with bar, and direct walk out to awesome beach. Hotel redo isn't fancy, but is simple euro style. Small balconies on room that allows you to sit outside your room and if you want to see the ocean, turn your neck :) decent budget option, with a great beach you just have to walk to.

We stayed here in 2016 and most recently in May 2017. They had renovations going on and the front was out of order at the time, but the staff and the location are awesome. Nick was at the desk and really treated us like family as did the rest of the from desk staff. One of the maintenance guys Kyle was really awesome and helpful as well and gave us a tour of the ocean front rooms that were being renovated and were almost complete. The hotel and rooms are very clean. It is now July and though I am just getting around to this review, I am sure the renovations look great. I will stay here every time I come back to St. Augustine and am looking forward to next year returning. If possible I may even get to come back this year before the season is over. I highly recommend this Hotel and I give it a Five Star rating in my book! Thanks for treating my wife and I like family!

Have stayed here several times with my wife and children. Stayed recently in December for 15 days. The manager at the time was Destin, he was awesome and helpful. The place was under construction we didn't mind. My wife and I came back in June for anniversary. Insulted by front desk when we asked for the room for a week. He said why would you want a room for a week. Dog in pool. Told manager all he said he knew the guy needed some etiquette.

The staff here is great! The pool area is nice and has direct access to the beach. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations as each hotel does but it hasn't been an issue at all. Would definitely stay here again.

This might be the only hotel in the area who has tractor trailer parking. One of the employees, John, was very helpful with this. We had 2 days off and wanted to be by the beach. We booked our room for Friday and they're letting us stay parked until Sunday! So thankful. Under construction but we experienced no interference.
