It's been going downhill for a while. Now the bar was closed and the hot tub wasn't hot. Hotel was empty. Soon to be a different brand, so no more IHG rewards. Time to find another place to stay
Coming here for years. Dog friendly. Won't be back! Bar closed, restaurant closed, cable out, refused to take cash! Skeleton staff!
It was everything I expected from a Holiday Inn and a bit more. The rooms and breakfast were both lovely and the inn even had a restaurant.
I'll start with some positive. The staff is very friendly. And the rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and clean. But this hotel needs a face lift TERRIBLY. The carpet is worn and smells. The walls are peeling and the ceiling tiles are lose or falling. Judging by the decor style I'd say late 90s is the last time updates were made to this hotel. I went to the gym and the equipment is straight up dangerous. The pins don't go into the weights and someone is going to get hurt. And everything needs to be cleaned in the gym. There are sweat drips on all of the equipment. And there aren't any santi wipes to clean the equipment down once you're done. I travel throughout the US and Canada at least once per month for work and this experience was pretty poor. Again, staff is great but corporate or the franchisee needs to invest some time and money here.
Located close to landfill so the area around hotel smells poorly. Air inside hotel is filtered so you can't tell. No complimentary breakfast for the price.
Beautiful hotel. Great price. This hotel offers a lot. Very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful
The rooms were fine. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant was awful. It wasn't open, or staffed at 7:30 pm. The bartender did his best to serve both bar patrons and diners, when he really needed two more staff. The food was mediocre at best, through no fault of the bartender.
First night there fire alarm went off around midnight I’ve never seen or hear of a fire alarm being so freaking loud in a small hotel room. I truly thought I was going to lose my hearing. Had to run out of my room wrapped in blanked. Of corse it was false alarm so about an hour later everyone was able to go back to their rooms. Other than that, hotel is outdated, AC units, refrigerators are old and loud, no breakfast. Convenient location between stores and few restaurants.
The conference room the rally was held in was very nice. Staff was nice as well. Only bad was the front rest rooms were broken and to have that many people there because of the rally they really should have had all rest rooms operational.
Had ants in the towels, spiders in the hotel room, and the wifi sucked. Got out the shower to grab a towel just to flick ants off of it.. wasn't the only towel and had to be 20+ ants Dissatisfied and contacted general manager to speak to a disrespectful unintelligent lady who offered to process my refund but was taken back because "of the way i came at her" this hotel is dirty and needs to be audited by IHG
If attending the NYS Dart Tournament which is held at the hotel ever year, please know the followings
a) Wi-Fi will not be available after Thursday. Per the staff - 'There is too many people accessing it causing it to crash.' Funny how that happens every year and nothing is done to correct it.
b) Hot tub is being maintained that week - Again funny how the maintenance always falls on the Dart Tournament weekend.
c) If you have diet restrictions (Vegan, Vegetarian, or would just like to have something healthy) - Don't plan on eating at the restaurant as it closed. They have a buffet for the players - chicken tender, hamburger, pizza, salt potatoes, etc. but remember it is a buffet so most of it is lukewarm food. I was told the Chicken Wings were very good.
d) I understand that tournament brings in 100 of darts players most drinking your beer but it would be nice if the staff remembers not everyone is drinking and we are spending a crazy amount of money at your hotel.
Seems like an upscale Holiday inn. Service was exceptional at check in and rooms were very clean upon arrival and daily as well. I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.
This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. I traveled with three girlfriends and we all remarked how clean the rooms were and the staff was incredibly friendly. We especially enjoyed Stephen the bartender Who was very knowledgeable about restaurants in the area. We would definitely return.
