We needed to rent a hotel room for 1-night for an family medical emergency - our 16 year old daughter has cancer and needed to be admitted because her kidneys were failing again. The entrance and common areas of the Holiday Inn looked updated and modern; so, we decided to give it a try, especially since it was the closest to the medical facility our daughter was staying in. Wow, talk about false advertisement. The room was dirty, debilitated, had a moisture problem, moldy/mildewy, and was a health hazard. The room was not vacuumed and had trash and dirt all over the floor, smudges on the mirror, TV made an loud crashing sound while changing channels, mold and mildew on the grout and caulk in the entire bathroom, hair on the wall of the tub in the bathroom, sludge on the over pour hole of the bathroom sink, broken and horribly fixed raised floorboards in the bathroom, the fridge moved whenever you tried to open the door, the fridge only kept items cool and not cold, no microwave, the coffee maker area had sugar all over the counter, the coffee maker did not appear cleaned ever, the furniture and light fixtures were outdated, part of the ceiling had fallen off in the corner and was still on the floor, rust on all of the metal fixtures and lights, moist air, moist bed linens that smelled heavily bleached, broken and splintered baseboards,

the towels smelled moldy and mildewy a couple of hours later after just one use despite being hung up, the thermostat did not seem to match the temperature in the room at all, no continental breakfast, the room service/restaurant was highly overpriced, the room was highly overpriced, especially for how it appeared, etc. This was literally the worst hotel stay we endured and made us even more depressed, especially at such a horrible time in our lives. We only remained because it was closest to our daughter’s medical facility. This particular Holiday Inn should be shut down until all of the rooms are updated, fixed, and are no longer a health hazard or at the very least do not place guests in debilitated and health hazard rooms.

I should have known from the beginning not to stay at this place. Very weird vibe.

First, upon checking in, the male front desk person was taking food orders instead of taking my reservation. Another front desk person yelled at him for doing that to me.

Noisy until 3am! Drunk people outside our room banged into our door several times and then busted up laughing. Woke me and my family several times throughout the night. For the price we paid we expected so much more. The room was smaller than other "lower quality" hotels we stayed at that were half the price. Stayed at a Super 8 for $55 with 2 queen beds and it was the best night sleep, staying at a La Quinta Inn right now for $69 a night, huge room cleaner bathroom, only downfall is it's just as noisy but at least we didn't pay $155 for this room like we did for the Holiday Inn. The shower curtain was so thin water went right through it and got all over the floor so we had to use all the towels to soak it up. Would never recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone unless it was at least half the price! Tried to complain to the front desk but they were busy and didn't even seem to care.

Location was perfect for us. Room was plenty big for my wife , 2 children and myself. The front desk staff was great. The restaurant staff was great except for one lady who was HORRIFIC. She infuriated me and I had to put her in her place. They were very frazzled with 5 tables. You would have thought every table was full. She really pissed me off. The lady that would up waiting on us was great and was rewarded with a large tip because of that.

My husband and I had our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was delicious. The food tasted homemade; the stuffing was the best I've ever had in a restaurant or at home, and the sweet potato casserole was as good as my own. The turkey was tender and moist. The service was excellent. The price was competitive. I especially appreciated the fact that a 20% tip was NOT automatically added to the cost. I find it offensive when I'm expected to give a large tip at a buffet where I serve myself. I would recommend the Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera for anyone who wants a good, traditional Thanksgiving meal away from home.

Upon entering our room we noticed one of the queen beds was real squeaky. I went to the front desk to see if I could change rooms and was told there weren't any available. She didn't seem to concerned with my complaint. Then upon reviewing the charges on my card for the room I was informed there was an additional hold for incidentals per person added to the fees. This should be optional and they should be upfront on the fee.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly. we had a family vacation at the Brevard Zoo and the zip lining, the pool was nice and big and it was salt water so it was a pleasure to not have the chlorine. Would definitely visit again nice clean rooms comfy bed and pillows

This is such a wonderful and comfy hotel! Me and my family stayed there for a holiday weekend. We booked online and paid a 3 star price, but the hotel was clearly nicer than that! The hotel itself was great, the bar/restaurant was perfect and the staff were extremely professional and courteous. I will definitely stay here again when I come back through the area.

I was very unhappy with my stay. When I arrived late everything seemed great. When I came down for breakfast the staff seemed very rude and uncaring. I was offered orange juice and the food was okay. I found a fly in my orange juice and a hair in my food and the waiter didn't seem to care. Still had to pay for my orange juice. smh I expected better.

This hotel is very clean and organized. From the outside to the inside, all is very clean and organized. The staff is great. I actually give a 5 stars to the staff. For the price we paid, I can comfortably say that this hotel exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

Will not stay here again unless absolutely necessary!

Checked in around 1:45pm, room wasn't quite ready so I sat by the pool, there was a group drinking adult beverages (supposedly not allowed per the sign) and smoking in the corner so I stayed on the other side. Get the key to my room and THREE times it did not work, had to keep going back downstairs with luggage in tow, then someone from housekeeping saw it wasn't working still and let me in my room, I called front desk and she sent maintenance up. He had no issues with the master and he also witnessed my key not workinghe went downstairs and came back up and FINALLY it was working. Then there was no toilet paper at all, well there was a piece on the empty roll, went downstairs to get toilet paper and I showed the girl at the desk the pic I took of it, she said she'd address housekeeping. There was no laundry bag and one trash can had no liner. Room smelled of a strong yuk odor at first but when I came back from dinner it wasn't so bad.

Then today, I come back from doing the Excalibur 10 Miler, stopped at the desk to have my key reprogrammed since it was just after 11 and I had a late check-out she said it would have to be reprogrammedwell guess what IT DIDN'T WORK! Back downstairs I go.. "luckily" the 2nd time it worked.

Elizabeth is who I dealt with both days Not one apology did I get and her personality is worse than a dead roach.

I gave 2 stars because: Ron the maintenance guy was SUPER NICE, I like the pillows, and I loved the bathroom mirror. Other than that I'd give you ZERO if I could.

They are in the process of remodeling, so our room is not 100%. Just finished painting. Frigerator is missing and chair that goes next to the bed is missing.

Good parts:Free Internet access, good restaurant with discount coupons. The hotel is right off the highway and a chick fi-li is 1 minute walk away.
