The exterior and main area look great. Nice enough pool and good breakfast. Thats where the positive things end. We checked in and our room key card didnt work, the front desk lady sent her friend who was drunk to help us. He said you have to swipe the card like 8 times fast for it to work. The next day we asked for an extra pillow, never got it. They never cleaned our room for the 3 days we were there. We got new towels and they never took the old ones. The beds were as uncomfortable as can be, so so hard. The AC unit was ridiculously loud and the room was either steaming hot or freezing cold. Im a loyal Holiday Inn patron and that may change after this experience. Very let down.
Horrible experience. This hotel is the worst. My reservation was lost when they changed names from Holiday Inn to Ramada and the front desk lady at Ramada was extremely rude when I tried to figure out if my card would still be charged. She pawned me off on Holiday Inn customer service which in turn sent me back to Ramada. Very disappointed in both Holiday Inn and Ramada, and the staff at the Ramada should not only be trained in their own system better, but also need better customer service skills. The lady at the front desk wouldn't even give me her name because she knew I was going to call and report her. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Don't be fooled by the pictures. This hotel was not like any other Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in and I won't be staying again. It was very outdated and lacked attention. It wasn't very clean, I was kind of grossed out at how just "dirty" It felt there. My son pulled a big Hairball out of the pool (Gross!) as he swam by a floating band-aid (Double gross!) The water just didn't look very clean overall. The AC was damp feeling and the queen beds we booked were more like full size. I booked this hotel because it was a bit cheaper than others in the area. Next time, I will spend the extra $20/$30 per night.
The interior design suggests that this hotel was recently remodeled, but it does not do enough to cover up the 80s feel (they even left the wallpaper up in the bathroom). Also, half the rooms have windows facing the center area that contains the pool and dining, so it was creepy that strangers could watch us swimming from their room.
Further, this hotel does not have complimentary breakfast (it's $9/person). When my friends and I went to the serving area, most of the food was out, and it took 10-15 minutes for it to be restocked, only for it to diminish in a minute because everyone was waiting. Also, while some of the drinks were self serve like the food, others like juice and coffee were to be brought to your table by a server. However, they kept the table with these beverages right by the food, so most of the guests were self serving only to be told by the understaffed workers that they would bring drinks to them.
In addition, two of my friends paid in cash for the meal, and after exchanging bills they were told by the cashier that she didn't have change and they were sent someone out to get some. However, after about 50 minutes of being there, she brought them their original change back because the person had not returned with smaller bills. As this was 9:30am, they should be prepared to have change for rush breakfast time.
Also, as we stayed two nights, we came back the second night to find papers slipped under the doors stating that they were unable to provide stay over cleaning services that day, so we had to call the front desk for more towels and soaps.
Finally, there was a constant high pitch buzzing noise coming from the bathroom ceiling (which does not have a switch for a fan, by the way, so it gets steamy). This noise was annoying, as we could hear it while in bed.
I would recommend looking into the Comfort Inn or other hotels nearby, unless you are a fan of outdated design, weird layouts, and mediocre service.
Safe fun place to bring the kids and just a hop over to worlds of fun! Staff is personal and considerate. Clean pool good food. Parents can socialize while kids play.
Got there about 8:45pm. Pool was full of unsupervised teenagers. The hotel desk clerk had no idea how to look up a reservation and had to call another gal over. That clerk had to call the manager to confirm they could give me a room even though I had a reservation and am a Holiday Inn card member. The room they finally gave us was an after thought in the design phase of the hotel. "Hey we have space a bit larger than a closet, lets put a King size bed in it". The room was pool side, noisy and had no hot water. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk I got a lousy 700 extra points. For $150.00 a night it was a joke.
There were two good things about this stay. 1-the bed (so comfy!) and 2-the pool was deep! The pool table was dirty, they had 3 pool ques and all but 1 was broken. The rack for the pool table was also broken. The carpet where you played pool was so sticky our feet were sticking to the ground. There was beer/liquid all over the TVs in the pool area. The food actually wasn't bad, we both had cheeseburgers but you had more bun than burger. For the most part the hotel was quite. When it was time to take a shower the shower was clogged and it started to fill (and yes we checked to make sure it wasn't set for a bath). The Kuerig also was not clean, we had to send through hot water over 5 times to get all the old coffee and what ever else was in there, had to wait till the water ran clear. The arcade area should have been fun but guess what! The token machine was broken AND the manager on duty had no clue. Seemed the manager on duty didn't know a lot of things when we asked her questions. Check out wasn't till noon but we had someone knocking on our door at 9:00AM. Didn't answer it because we weren't sure who it was. The pool was nice and the jacuzzi worked and it was relaxing!
I loved it, my bed was so comfy I fell asleep almost immediately. I had control of my own thermostat so I could make it nice and cold. the water pressure in the shower was amazing, the hot water stayed hot. The room itself was so clean. And the free breakfast I received the next morning was far better than I expected.
From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the most friendliest staff! The hotel was beautiful! Our room was clean and very nice! Updated and beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Perfect! The pool was clean and gorgeous! In the morning we had breakfast and it was delicious! The breakfast attendant went out of her way to accommodate us by turning on cartoons for my daughter and she also brought me a large pitcher of Coke so I could have refills if she got busy. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly! The front desk person at check in charged my nearly dead phone for me while we checked in. I'm so impressed with how they went above and beyond to make everything perfect! I don't ever write reviews, but with this hotel is felt that they deserved my recognition! I stay in a lot of hotels and this one was one of my favorite!! I can't wait to come back again!
