After reading some reviews, we were apprehensive but decided to give it a chance. Staff was helpful, room was clean, bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet. We did not use other amenities. While the location wasn’t scenic, it was close to downtown and easy access ( but not close) to beaches.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Good luck calling and getting someone at the front desk to answer the telephone. I called for DAYS about an upcoming stay and needing to cancel one room and NOBODY picked up the phone. Even corporate couldn't get through to the hotel! I was overcharged and the hotel will not refund the overcharged fees!

It not all bad. Bed was comfortable, good pillows. BUT The room smelled like my high school locker room, the odor was constant. Good thing we were only here one night. Also no back door security, no room key needed to get in from the back, just walk right in and you are in the first floor

This hotel has had a lot of potential to be really great but the part that stops it is its location there is no longer a big crowd that want to stay in this area the staff are friendly and it is a nice Hotel BUT, The area doesnt support it correctly honestly
And the restaurant attached can't seem to stay in business ever and keeps getting opened under a new name every so often but no convenient parking and not reputable I Hope People Change That and Make This Place Awesome

2.5 stars. This little place has potential. The staff is great, but the actual facilities leave something to be desired in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. Now, I don't mean to say the room was dirty, but it did smell like cigarettes. In addition, the black out/opaque curtains we're missing in my room upon check in? The maintenance staff responded right away and very courteously, but it just sends a message that a thorough clean/prep is not top priority.

Good enough for a business trip (which is what I was there for) and very close o downtown.

Love the staffing here from management, front desk and housekeeping. Staying here a month so it’s like Home and I feel like I’m being treated like family. They are wonderful

Not happy at all the rooms nice clean the stuff for sweet but they can't do anything for you. I have to hunt the housekeeping down just to get coffee to make in my room because they don't have any supplies at the front desk. The entire fourth floor for 3 days smelt like cigarette smoke an ashtray and marijuana all at one time. Most of us on the 4th floor complained and all we got told we know who it is we've called knocked on their door but they won't answer. We have charged them the smoking fee. The GM just does not have the backbone that she needs because she should have had those guess removed from the hotel immediately. Because it affected the entire hallway and everyone's room on that floor and we couldn't move because all the rooms were taken. The restaurants and Bar is only open for breakfast. There's a whole lot of bored construction workers staying here and they could be making a lot of money. The next time I come to Fort Myers I will not stay at this hotel not to mention I will make sure that all my friends that travel no don't stay here. It's just not worth the money

Food service wait-staff operations contributed to this degraded score. Additionally the fitness equipment was in disrepair and neglected.

House keeping and Front Lobby clerks really saved the day on this grade. They were timely met every request with courtesy. They could have easily earned the 4 star, but to be out of eggsyes eggs at 8:00AM on a Tuesday and the Hurricane was still in the Lesser Antilles.

Staff was awesome. Room were clean if a touch dated. Plenty of parking on site and the location is convenient to historic fort Meyers or the courthouse

Booked this hotel through Hotel Tonight. Arrived at the hotel to check in and the representative at the front desk asked for a card to charge for incidentals. She ended up charging me the price of a room-- $109.89. She kept saying that the charge was for incidentals and that the money was not taken out of my bank account. My mobile banking app clearly shows where the $109.89 was taken from my bank account. She can not show me a receipt or any documentation about their incidentals charge. She keeps telling me I have to wait until Monday (it is Saturday evening) to speak to any management because they are out for the weekend. (How ridiculous is this???) I would never recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. This is the worst customer service I have ever received.

Let me preface this by saying the day to day staff was very nice.

    However,

This was by far the worst "Holiday Inn" ever. Bugs! Bugs in the hotel. I called to complain, but Holiday Inn customer "service" denied any affiliation even though their are singns everywhere. I mean everywhere. I have never been treated so poorly by an organization. I have stayed with dozens of hotel chains and never had an issue. Their lack of response to my complaints was appalling. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Don't stay here. Bugs in the elevator on the way in. Holiday Inn won't acknowledge they are officiated even though there is A GIANT sign infront that says Holiday Inn in front. The managers buisness card even has a Holiday Inn logo on it. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

We moved to the Best Western 2 days in. It saved our vacation.

Also called The Edison at midtown Free breakfast wasn't bad. Biggest complaint was noise. We were on the first floor and could hear the people above us at night. Also the doors make a loud clicking noise when locked so you could hear when your neighbors leave their room. Overall not bad but could be better.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was getting married and we were trying to secure several rooms for my guests to stay at for after the wedding. My husband called the hotel and spoke to a woman named Mary who took down our information and said that she would email my husband in an hour with more information. 2 days later we received an email from Mary with information completely irrelevant to our occasion. My husband once again tried to contact Mary, leaving voicemails and emails over several days. Finally he got a hold of her and she asked if we received an email regarding a special rate agreement and a cutoff date. He let her know that he did not in fact receive that email and she again said that she would send it within the hour, never received an email. Days go by again with us trying to call the Hotel, being sent to voicemail (which was now full) and we finally were able to speak to someone who told us that Mary was let go and they forwarded us to the new sales manager's phone number, which was once again a voicemail machine. When we contacted Corporate about the incident they responded that the hotel would have to handle the situation and that they were going to contact them to give us another call to help us. The hotel did in fact call us, but it was while my husband was working, and he said that he would call back at 1pm when he was off. When he called, he got another voicemail, which he left ANOTHER message and the hotel NEVER tried to call us again. Needless to say, we will never stay at a Holiday Inn again, and advised all of our friends and family the same. I wish I could rate the hotel with zero stars, because I simply don't think that one is low enough.

Easy to get in and out, but comes up fast. Service was decent at the front desk, but we got unlucky and was placed next to children running up and down the hallway until 1:30 am. Front desk didn't do anything (that we saw) about it after the request. Beds were good, nothing special. No breakfast, either.

Stayed here early April. Good hotel, enjoyed the stay. Only issues were little things, like the a/c was a bit loud, towel hooks a bit inconveniently hung, breakfast not included - nothing serious. Otherwise totally loved it. Perfect mattress, bathroom clean and updated, staff super sweet and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

IWe usually stay at a double tree or Hilton. Wanted something a bit more affordable on this trip. We found this Holiday Inn not only affordable but also a clean, respectable and quiet place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!
