Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast.
We stay here every 6 months and have never been so appalled by the service received. This hotel is a halflway point on a weekly trip I do for my company, and have enjoyed the free laundry facility they previously have offered. I purchased the laundry soap from the front desk as usual and was not told that laundry was no longer free. Later when my wife went up to do laundry she realized it would cost $5.00 FOR each load. She then carried our dirty laundry back down to the first floor and asked that they charge the $10 in quarters to our room. (I have previoiusly done this at several other Holiday Inns.) They asked the room number and gave her the quarters, my wife proceeded back to the 3rd floor and started our first load of laundry. When she came back our of the elevator on the 1st floor she was yelled at across the lobby to come back to the front desk. The lady at the front desk told her she actually wasn't allowed to give her the quarters and asked for them back. My wife asked for the manager, who proceeded to tell her to use her personal credit card to go to an atm and pay them back. TWICE! After my wife told them she had nothing with her she was told that she would have to get her wet clothes and return to our room. I am currently working and my wife just got to walk back thru the hotel with dripping wet clothes that are now hung all over the hotel room. Not only is this absolutely embarrassing, I cannot believe that as loyal IHG customers we are being treated this way.
Back in the days when the Reading Airport had limousine service to and from the Philadelphia airport I needed assistance from the staff at the Holiday Inn Express. It was late evening on a Sunday night I just arrived at the Reading Airport. I could not get a cab at all. Long story short: the asked the desk clerk to drive me home. I paid him what I would have paid the cab driver. All I had to do was to wait until eleven when the clerk got off duty. That’s what I call service.
Staff was nice. Room was nice. Pool was small and gym could have had some more equipment like a pull-up bar. Breakfast had a lot of choices and was good.
Had an awful experience at this hotel 8/11/17. Ac was set to 70 and when I came back in the afternoon I turned it down 2degrees. After a few hours the room was getting warmer. Checked the account and it was a block of ice. The staff told me to deal with it and it'll eventually thaw out. Nothing could be done, hotel was overbooked and I was offered a discount. I asked to be switched hotels and that went unacknowledged. Kimberly threw her hands up at the situation and told me there's nothing she can do, while Jody rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. After 45 minutes of waiting at the counter, they brought me back to the room and said "it feels cool in here". I've stayed at this hotel before but will no longer be making my room booking here. Customer satisfaction is far from a priority. Waste of time and money on this room. I would suggest staff members who care about customers and do the right thing.
******After speaking with corporate, they managed to find a room for me. 3 hours later and me having to use a hairdryer for an hour to thaw the ac.
Great customer service, our room was modern and very clean, breakfast was delicious. A huge step up from the typical Holiday Inn experience of the past.
During my WEDDING RECEPTION I learned through my sibling, who had gone to the hotel awhile, that they gave our reservation to another person. The hotel was completely full, and when my husband called during the reception, not a single person there could explain why our reservation had been cancelled and resold without contacting us, and almost 10 months later we still haven't actually received any kind of apology.
They ruined my wedding reception, because it had to be spent dealing with finding accommodations elsewhere and and I spent my wedding night at my parents house because of them. Not to mention my husband's car was there, because we were supposed to be riding back after our reception with family staying at the hotel.
It was a nightmare.
Extremely friendly service, nicest rooms, pool, and best breakfast, plus watch airplanes take off, and fitness center.
Convenient location and clean rooms, good breakfast.
Stayed overnight to check out some of the local breweries. The hotel was clean, very modern, and met our groups needs. The morning breakfast was great. Location was convenient for us. Service was satisfactory. Would definitely stay again if needed.
Saw ants in bathroom, was on the second floor. No clean towels when we went to swim. Staff on bright side was very polite and pleasant. The breakfast was good.
Great service awesome customer services in the receptionist area! Love it! The room was clean and cozy! Definitely
Recommend it!
