Had heard about the general Potter porterhouse steak. And it was not disappointing. It may have been one of the best steaks I've ever had. We had some appetizers and the side dishes were every bit as good as the main course. Wonderful staff! I would highly recommend stopping. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee I'll be back. Small restaurants like this just don't get enough credit anymore.

Nice clean motel. Biker friendly - they had rags out to wipe the bikes down after a damp ride. This is not the ritz, but the rooms are clean. The restaurant has some good steak!

The atmosphere was so quiet, it felt like we were sitting in a library. The tables and chairs were cheap laminate. Basically, we thought we made a mistake for a steakhouse. But the napkins were folded cute, and we figured we'd give it a go anyways. We are glad we did. The steak was one of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Thick, juicy and tender. If you want really great food, at a decent price, this is a must.

Food was impressive, 3 of the 4 guests in the party ordered the fried haddock special which was perfectly cooked. Service was a little slow, 3 parties in the restaurant and after sitting down for 10 minutes the waitress finally came over with menus and drink orders and then disappeared for about 15 minutes to look over the menu, but the food came up quickly. After the meal was finished our party waited another 10 minutes for the check to come back to us. Overall the food was great but the service left a little to be desired.

As ashley said, not sure why all the good reviews. Ive been here twice and i will not go back again. If you get a room thats in the same building as the office, the room is very small about the size of a small bedroom in a small house. The other building off to the right is twice or three times the size inside and much nicer. This is a bare bones motel, no microwave, no fridge, nothing. Inside the rooms all there is is the beds which are very rickety, a small computer desk, nightstand with a lamp, a coat rack, and very old TVs on a small stand. There isnt even an alarm clock. Stayed here twice on a visit to cherry springs which was as big of a disappointment as this motel. Office staff has an attitude problem and they stared me up and down. Price wasnt too great either, 65 a night. The place is very old and nothing has been updated, shower tiles were nasty and the beds were very old with stains on the sheets. There were a good deal of bugs in my room including a small spider crawling on me when i got on bed. The curtains are useless the second the sun rose the whole room was lit up with sunlight. Cant give it more than two stars, its mediocre at best.

Let me start off by saying I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. The only nice thing I can say about the place is that it is clean. It is very noisy here all night long, both from other guests and from traffic. I tried to complain that the occupants in the room next to us were fighting for a large portion of the night but couldn't find anyone. I couldn't connect to the WiFi, and when I asked the front desk about it an extremely rude older man just barked " I don't know what's wrong with it. It's not my fault. There's other people on the internet and only so many people are allowed to be on at once." I didn't even bother to try and correct that. Couldn't find advertised jacuzzi, and I didn't bother to ask after the last reception to a question I had the misfortune to ask. The water pressure in the shower was good, but if anyone else in the WHOLE HOTEL used any water while you were in there it turned frigid. The knobs to turn it on were so rusty I had to wrap a towel around them just to get the grip to turn them on without skinning your hand, in addition to the fact that they leaked so badly water was spraying all over. There is no AC in the room, and the thermostat is under lock so you can't adjust it. There is a window that you can open if you like to live dangerously, that way you can hear the constant rabble outside even better! I even got a hassle at the check in because my hair is a different color now then when I took my license photo. Let me tell you, in this area there is literally a hotel, inn, cabin rental, or campground every 50 yards, so do yourself a favor and skip this one. But on the chance you do stay, don't worry. The guy living in room 2 arguing over custody with the "horse's ass" says he is very responsible! He's just sick of her constant yapping and crying! Totally reasonable.

I have had a couple visits to the restaurant. The food is ok but certainly can be improved. The salad was a small handful of lettuce with a few carrot chips. I think they could do better. It appears as though they need more help. It is a clean cozy place. I wish it could be better. I'd think about going there more often. It's just so hit or miss.

An old-school motel. Our room was small, well maintained and very clean. Plenty of towels, crisp clean sheets, and well manicured. The noise from the factory opposite the motel is less than the noise of a window a/c unit. If that bothers you, find a white noise app. Or, ask for one of the three inside rooms (20 - 22). They cost a bit more but the noise from the factory is blocked. Coffee and cereal available in the morning. Nice, local, knowledgeable people.

No shampoo was provided in the bathroom, and the high speed Internet took an hour to upload a photo. There was no place to put clothes and the area was very noisy at night.

Having said that, the motel was very conveniently located for the marathon, and the people in charge were exceptionally courteous. The parking was very, very close to the room, and it was a good place to spend two nights.

Stayed at motel couple days for work on the natural gas sites. Stopped in their lounge and steakhouse and ordered a ny strip steak, tell you the truth I wasn't expecting much, the motel was clean but very out dated, no fridge, no microwave, old tv's etc. but the steak EXCELLENT.. Maybe best I ever had. Would stay here again for the
