Came up from South Florida for Thanksgiving weekend. Hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of the Historic District of Savannah. We were able to walk to River Street, hop on and off trolley right across from hotel, and had Pink House restaurant a short walk around the block. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was a convenient way to get an early start each day. Room was clean and comfortable for 2 people. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean, very friendly staff, great location. Breakfast was good with nice variety of items. Coffee was very good. 4 stars for an economy hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful architecture and clean. Modern decor and Central location to anything and everything in Savannah. Great personnel that treat you with kindness and help with any needs. Only downfall was the parking deck charges $10/day or $22/day valet. If you leave the garage and come back in the same day you get charged for each entry. That's an outcry for a hotel guest!

I could not be happier with our stay here. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The room was perfect. Our room overlooked the street and had a nice balcony. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Savannah.

The staff provided excellent service! The hotel is clean and the room was very comfortable. I just want to close my comment by saying that the staff serving breakfast in the morning, namely, Ms. Harris and Ms. Alma, are very friendly and do an amazing job. Thank you to the Holiday Inn Express to providing Gluten Free Bagels as an option. I am a Human Resources Professional attending a conference. I would like to congratulate you on exceptional customer service!

Excellent location for shopping and site seeing. Parking was either $22 for valet or $5/day for self parking next door. Breakfast was excellent including pancakes, omelettes and an assortment of breads, cereals and fruit. View from the roof/pool was lovely but it doesn't open until 9 so we couldn't catch the sun rise from the roof. But it's a 5 min walk to the river so we shot over there instead. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. Would def stay again.

Our keys did not work went down to scan them went up didn't work again had to go back down. Haven't stayed in a holiday inn since 2008 now I know why. Details that's what it's all about. Breakfast is good and location is good. Very quiet. Great place to rest in between a long trip.

I come visit here about once a year and enjoy my stay. The always have great Happy hour drinks and the hotel staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the do have continental breakfast. My son absolutely loved the roof top pool and hot tub. My only complaint is that outside the room the hotel hallway had a mildew smell, it was annoying bit not overpowering.

The fact that a gentleman came out right away and asked to valet park us made us feel quite important, but things changed once we got into the hotel. The front desk attendant must have been having a rough day because she was not having the fact that I booked a room that she didn't have. She did end up putting us in a room that had a pull out couch, so that all four of us, two adults and two children, did not have to all sleep in the same bed, but she didn't seem very happy to do it. She seemed to treat me unkindly from the moment she found out we booked through a booking site.
There were no linens for the make shift couch bed, and when I called for linens, they just brought sheets and a comforter. I had to call again and request for pillows.
This is also a side note if you have a room with a direct view to the street and street lamps, please allow the inside curtains to be shut, instead of decorative. That way, your customers are able to sleep without blinders.
All in all, I rarely fuss with hotels because I know I'm just staying in a hotel, but we wanted a view and the luxury of staying in historic Savannah, and paid real money to stay there, and we expected to be treated even slightly as such.response / report this review -

Only stopped in to use the restroom and get picked up for the Haunted Hearse tours. The lobby was clean and inviting. The staff at the door for valet and at the front desk were friendly and happy to give directions inside the hotel and for the surrounding city block.

Great service. Make sure to see Ed at the concierge desk. Breakfast was your average hotel food. They could get rid of the character actors wandering around. Prefect location for a trip to Savannah.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We needed extra pillows because my roommate needed to accommodate a broken arm. The staff was wonderful delivering the extra pillows to our room within minutes. We're here in Savannah for Quiltcon at the convention center and this was a great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Definitely will be my hotel for Savannah Everytime. Perfect location is across the street from the river walk. Great staff. We arrived early and they let us check in early. Service is great. Hotel is clean and breakfast is a good selection for a continental breakfast.

We stayed here for a night and I was very impressed with how nice and clean the room and bathroom was. The thermostat was nice and quiet and there was plenty of room for our large family. The free breakfast had a great selection with many tables and friendly attendants. As nice as everything was, the best part is the location. It is phenomenal! The view from our room looked right out onto the river walk and we watched boats pass all evening. My kids were thrilled! In the morning, we walked right out after breakfast and down to the riverwalk. We will absolutely be staying here again. Hopefully next time will be a warmer month and we can check out the rooftop pool!
