Great place to stay in Queens close to LaGuardia, Manhattan, Astoria, and Long Island City. They also have breakfast included with lots of choices for the whole family.
Staff good, comp breakfast very good, room was clean; adequate space .
I used to go to this hotel. It was greatNot anymore!
Now is a shelter for homeless people of NY -which would be absolutely fine!- if would not (still) be a public hotel.A pretty (dirty but) expensive one.
The front desk personal is moody and very defensive. The “hotel”part of the building is always “booked” although the rooms are mostly empty. This place is filled with many (armed?)security guards.People that are permanent residents here are often gathering on the front/back steps for long chatsYou need to “navigate” your way through them to exit or enter the hotel .
Unfortunately it looks like most hotels -in Queens and NYC -are in the same hosting situation At least 2nd and 3rd floors are dedicated to shelter use.
Is that the solution NY found to its homeless crisis?
It looks like it is!
Clean, recently renovated and friendly staff. Definitely stay again.
Forced nudity! No thank you. I'll start where the staff wears pants.
Thankfully they do wear pants here. The room was adequate if not a bit noisy. Lyft drivers had trouble finding it for some reason.
The room was dirty. Coffee machine in the room was broken, but not only that it was filled with dust and old coffee grinds. There is no view in any direction. The staff working the desk were not that focused on the guest. It was really conveniently placed off the Long Island Expressway.
Great, friendly service. The hotel smells amazing as soon as you walk in. The rooms were very clean. The bathrooms were extremely clean. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. The food and coffee in the morning was great. I have no complaints at all, and I will definitely come back.
Online it said they had a complimentary shuttle to the subway. They told me they stopped offering it less than 2 weeks before my stay but didn't update their website yet. If that's the case, they should still honor it. They straight up lied to me. Also no fridge and the TV remote was jacked up.
was ok and quite areabut its so far from everywhereyou need definately a car
As I read from other reviewer some room are small compared to other. I had no problem with my room or visit, clean place great staff. My room didn't have a mini fridge witch was a boomer.
Staff was very friendly, room was nice. Breakfast was extremely good, excellent coffee. Small parking lot though you have to get in early.
Such a friendly staff! Went out of their way to help! Rooms are perfect! Best pizza parlor in all of New York practically next door (Maspeth Pizza House).
Would definitely stay here again! Free breakfast is way better than expected!!
Stayed one night only and was up in the top floor but hotel was very quiet. Rooms were fine, nice walk in shower and everything seemed to work. Check in staff were friendly and very fast. Parking can be a problem if the hotel is full and you arrive late in the day.
