I was so disappointed with this hotel. 1- Parking is so limited and you need to wake up before eight am to remove or renew your car parking on the street. 2- the room was so small. 3- Breakfast worths nothing, 4- Two of the towels in the shower had hair. 5- Chairs are stained and old as if they just had them from a yard sale. , 6- TV wasn't getting clear channels. 7- Fridge was off when we needed it , I had to call to plug it. Photos attached I won't book there any more.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms aren’t cleaned efficiently. Stay away if you’re sensitive or allergic to dust.I am severely allergic to dust and was coughing all night. Saw the dust flying around in the sunlight. The sheets were dusty as well. My only relief was the bathroom. For so much dust they must never vacuum or wipe down the countertops or change the blankets.my pillows were also dirty. Lesson Learned. Isn’t worth the price they charge to suffer like this. For the same amount you can stay in the best western like on 21st street like I did the next night. Should’ve searched around before booking.
Clean, quiet hotel in Queens, at an excellent rate for NYC. Anytime you are under $200 in NYC you are doing good. I paid around $130 per night for this stay. Excellent location near the train, next to McDonald's and near several other nice restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. The hotel offers a free breakfast in the morning. My room didn't have a fridge or microwave this time because I knew I wouldn't need it, but they have rooms with those things if you do. There is also free Wi-Fi. I stay at La Quinta whenever possible because they are always economical but still very nice. Their reward program is excellent and it is easy to accrue enough points for a free night.
Hotel is convenient to the Subway (#7 line) to get your through Queens and Manhattan. Nothing special about this hotel, except for the location and convenience. The staff is great and the hotel is ordinary. One thing to note, you will need to go down a flight of stairs (with luggage) to get to the elevator which is NOT convenient with heavy bags. Also, at the time we stayed (last week), the wheelchair lift was out of order. Best to check to ensure that its working.
Went there with my GF and the bed they gave us had blood on the sheets. It was disgusting- asked the girl in the front they didn’t even try to help us. She said if you don’t like leave and we left. Thinking to take them to the court!!!
Very disappointed with how they handle reservations. I used their website to reserve a room. The only option was to put a hold on my room, which I did. I got a text confirming. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no such reservation. I was advised that I could try and book again, but the price was $100.00 more. Although the receptionist was nice, she told me that rates change and there was nothing she could do. I called customer service and was told the same thing. I even offered to send the text that was sent to me but she said it wouldn't matter. Overall really bad experience and no resolution. I will not book with La Quinta again.
The room was dirty. The front desk staff was rude - on their cell phone literally the entire time, would not even look up. The bed linen had blood and other stains all over it. The bath water turned on, but the shower did not. There were stains (possibly blood?) On the walls of the bathroom. The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and some kind of orange cleaner. The shades in the room did not close all the way. I get that it is NYC, but man was this a bad stay.
It's fine for the price. We were on the "1st" floor which is actually a sub level half below ground. The wall paper in the room is peeling and the knob to adjust the water temperature is missing in the shower. That being said it's clean, the AC is cold, the TV is a good size, we have a mini fridge, and the bed is comfortable. Not a bad option just not perfect.
Excellent breakfast and service!!!! Stayed from June 23-June 25, 2017.rooms were clean and staff were courteous, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and great variety, from fresh fruits to eggs, sausage, cereal, etc..the had a wonderful machine that made coffee, hot chocolate, etc..we definitely stay here again and recommend. Close to the number 7 train and parking is free👍🏽
Absolute value for money: Situated right next to the metro which connects with uptown/downtown areas, 24 hours. Free parking space is quite small, and it was filled by the time I reached. Street parking is very nominal and is easily reachable. I didn't know this while reserving, but my room had a Jacuzzi in it, and it was a surprise. In all, probably the best Value for money stay close to downtown area!
This was an average hotel. The room was not glamorous but it had some odor. Their bathroom was not that clean. It was noisy as well. I have the feeling the walls are made out of paper. It is a good place for the night as a late reservation. Their location is convinient.
My mother was here only a few weeks ago.
The front desk male receptionist treated her with so much disrespect.
And when she tried to stand up for herself, he accused her of disorderly conduct and called the police.
6 police officers were called to the hotel, I guess to escort by 65 year old mother who is 5ft 5in tall out of the hotel.
I pray no one's mother has to go through an experience like this.
We are still waiting for an apology from the hotel management.
My mum is a loyal La Quinta Inn customer. She loves the name of the hotel and I think just enjoys staying there so she can say the name.
She travels alot for work and family trips and stays at La Quinta almost all the time. And has been doing so for about 10 years.
This experience hurt her so much. In a time such as this, I would expect a son of God not to call the police on a mother and grandmother.
This experience has truly hurt us all.
All she asked from the staff was an early check in.
Friendly staff, good location. Close to 7 train. Nice restaurants. Room was clean and pleasant. Breakfast could be better, but room was fair price and great stay. I will be back. Hopefully a higher floor.
Good for the price and location. That's it. Hotel prices in NYC are pretty high and this is not bad for the cost. Location also not bad at all. You can get at Grand Central in 15-20 minutes, using the subway (one of the few affordable things in NYC). Staff is not the nicest in all the world but I have no complaints. A vacuum cleaner would be useful behind bedside tables. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast is an "American get fat fast experience" with doughnuts full of sugar and bananas. Loved this exotic high calorie brunch as an European used to healthy stuff :-)
