Great German food, fun environment with live German music. Best wheat beer in the U.S. I have tried to find food and beer as good as it was while I was in Germany. This is it! If you like German food and great beer do yourself a favor and try it.

Great food and an excellent selection of true German brews with live (usually German) music. Service can be a bit slow if you on the weekend but we usually stay there for a few hours so it's not normally a problem for us. However, this location doesn't have the same exciting atmosphere that the Chicago, Columbus and and Cleveland ones do. So if you want to go and stand on the table to take a shot ski or dance a polka with strangers, know that it won't happen here

We always have a good time at Hofbrauhaus and have taken many out of town guests to this special gem. We got to enjoy a new aspect this time around; local bands playing rock music on weekend nights! Every time we've visited in the past, if there was a band, it was always polka music, which can be a lot of fun, but not always what one wants on a saturday night so I was very pleasantly surprised by this. As usual, the food and beer was excellent. If you're looking for an authentic German good time, this is the place to get it.

I usually am not very keen on trying German food (as a German) in the US anymore due to several disappointing experiences. My husband wanted to do something nice for me and planned a trip to this Cincinnati restaurant. Upon arrival we were told that the wait would be around 30 to 45 minutes. They took our cell phone number to notify US . We decided to head across the street to have a drink but we had hardly headed out the door -
text message: your table is ready. What a pleasant surprise! My husband ordered a blue cheese steak salad and the portion was generous and very tasty. I myself went with the smoked pork chops that came with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes as well as a side of warm, spiced apple sauce. Reluctantly I took my first bite. Another very pleasant surprise! The food tasted very authentic and was great! I really give this establishment an A+ rating for authenticity, unique atmosphere, as well as for the speed and quality of the service and again for the food quality. Can't wait to go there again!

Good timing or good service? We arrived at was seated. Immediately asked what we wanted to drink and if any appetizers were wanted. With some great advice we ordered our appetizers and main course. Within minutes the appetizers were out and very shortly followed by the main course. The absolute fastest service I've seen in a long time. The food is great beer is flowing and entertainment is wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

We frequently eat and drink beer here. It's one of our favorite places to take our friends and family from out of town. Super busy place because it's fun and good. Love the atmosphere and great for kids.

Met some friend from work here for a Friday happy hour. This place was great. We sat outdoors, shared several appetizers, had a flight of beer. Was an all around good time with great service and good food.

This place is great. The food is very good and very filling. The beer is outstanding, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. I prefer the outside patio, but the entertainment inside is always fun as well.

Amazing place! Food is delicious the service was wonderful and the atmosphere has a great vibe. The portion size is great enough to take home and the bier is so good you can taste all the flavors. The cream puff was perfectly made filled with this light delicious cream.

Went on a Sunday night. The ommpah band was great entertainment, wish they played a bit later than 7pm. Food was filling and quickly served. Enjoyed the Apple strudel, wished for Vanilla ICE cream instead of vanilla cream.
My go to place on business visits to Cincinnati.

Great food and atmosphere. Excellent accordian musician with a wide range of fun songs. Get a few Washington Apple shots and drink then with your friends in a team drink off a plank. Beer garden is large and somewhat shaded - better option if you don't want the fun of the beer hall. Parking is tight and the restautant parking charges $5 for self park. Meters near by Max at 2 hours for $2.50.

GREAT place for good food and fresh beer. Diverse, authentic German cuisine. The atmosphere here is always upbeat and fun. A MUST do if you are in the area. I drive 100 miles to come here at least once a month. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience here. I'm from out of town but love coming to Cincinnati to visit. This is a must if you are a beer drinker. Our waiter informed us of the history of the establishment which is extremely interesting. Enjoyed every second.

I stopped by for lunch and they have a great lunch buffet. The sampler of appetizers was really good and so was the selection of beer. A few people in the group ordered the platters and we're a little disappointed in the portions. Overall a unique place to try with a great German atmosphere.
