All the disability support services and supports advertised for autistic kids are not provided. There is not enough supervision or care in selection of students. Ridiculous to have ex-cons rooming with socially naive students. If it's a long distance issue- don't depend on the school to help. A traumatic experience for my son and us.

It's not your normal college. A lot of mentally diseased and immature people. No alcohol allowed on school property. Not a bad school though if you can get in free via OVR and you need or don't mind "special" treatment.

The problem with this place is that it is not just for persons with disabilities. There is a mix of folks here and a young adult with LDs and social issues can have problems that they don't understand and that they can not control. My daughter went here for an evaluation and within two weeks she basically messed up her life, which we are still trying to fix months later. This is not a drama thing. Things can happen in a very short time that can change your life. If your child is easily swayed by social pressure and lacks self confidence, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. Its really unfortunate that this is not an LD only school. There are so few places for people with LDs to get an education. Its a shame you have to worry about your child being preyed upon by thugs while trying to go to school. You really want to try and find someplace safer to send your child too.

My son goes here for Networking, Has done Excellent. Drama, yes that is every where. You have to learn to adjust. You are no longer in HS so they will treat you as an adult. He has made it into Honors which I am very proud of him. Yes you have to some times stay on top of things but if you show effort you will be rewarded.

I graduated back in December of 2009. Lots of Drama? Of course. What place doesn't. I have very little learning disabilities but still decided to go here. I graduated with my AST Drafting Degree, Hey it was free schooling! I am now and have been for the last 3 years been a Drafter for a Multimillion dollar Chemical Plant. Anything is possible!
