Stayed for a weekend in my RV. Very nice sites well-maintained. Easy to Park RV I had a back in sight plenty of room to back in got it parked in one move. Would love to stay there again. Lots of trails and dog friendly.

Great place for swimming , fishing , boating , camping and picnics.
No gas powered motors allowed on the lake.
The campground has full hool ups available. They also have yurts and small cabins available for rent.
You can buy boating and fishing licenses in the rangers office.

It's a nice park. I had a non electric site. The firepit was very dirtytrashy. large and private. A little buggy. Quiet when I was there. Price was high because I reserved a site and they add $5 online. There were plenty of spaces in a Thur in mid August

Lovely park. Had a great time kayaking on the lake with all the cranes and blue herons. Bath houses were good. There is a firewood vending machine. Rangers were helpful.

Shawnee State Park is absolutely beautiful. It is very clean. They have picnic areas as well as kayak rentals and lodges. I visited the park to get some walking in, and I'm glad I did. If you want to get away for a day, visit Shawnee State Park. If you want a quick bite or some ice cream, visit Sundaes down the road from there. I will most definitely visit Shawnee State Park again in the near future. 😃❤

Bald eagles, ospreys, and others I kayak there and water is usually calm, picnic areas are ample and bathrooms are very clean, staffed with nice informative people.

One of the best spots of bedford. There was once an alligator in the lake they had to drain it to capture it

Shawnee is such a nice park to camp, kayak, swim or just spend the day walking around the lake and park. The wildlife is abundant and beautiful. The rangers can be very friendly I didn't have any bad experiences with the rangers I ran into.

Well maintained and quiet, with plenty of hiking trails and great fishing. Not to mention the great views of Bedford county's rolling hills! The campground is well situated and staffed. Accommodations are up to date, clean, and convenient. And it's all located less than 20 minutes from historic downtown Bedford!
