A decent Hilton. A bit lacking in character and vibrancy, but staff was friendly and rooms were pretty spacious. I was disappointed that although I called at night and asked for my valet car to be ready at 5am, when I came down at 5 it wasn't ready, and they had no record of my call the night before. This made me late to the airport

We stayed at the Hilton while my husband was attending a work conference at the convention center, which is right next to the Hilton. The room was nice and clean, what you would expect from a Hilton. The location is downtown, there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful at the front desk. I ate at the restaurant once, I wasn't very impressed with the food or the service for the price. It wasn't terrible, but I could have done better if I walked a few blocks.

Always friendly staff and friendly surroundings. The beds have particularly fluffy, soft comfortable and luxurious. Not far from the airport and conveniently located in San Jose, the Hilton is one of my favorite hotels in the Bay area.

Tried the Affinity restaurant. Had the Calamari and the Brie-BLT. Both were excellent. Calamari were well cooked and not chewy, just the right amount of spicy. The fennel was an interesting touch.
The sandwich was also good. Lots of bacon and I could taste the Brie.

Pros:
Convenient, central location with both valet and self parking (with in/out privileges). Clean and mostly modern with good amenities including a pool, fitness center, bar/restaurant, and optional room service.
Cons:
-Fitness center closes at 10pm
-No USB outlets that I can find anywhere in my standard double queen room
-Beds are not very firm and feel a little old and squeaky

The staff are very pleasant and attentive. They catered to all my needs. The hotel is clean and rooms are neat and spacious. All the usual amenities are in place with daily room service available.

Good hotel, with a good staff. The location is good but not as good as the Westin that is a couple of blocks closer to shops and the university. The river park is right across the street and the convention center is annexed to the hotel so if you are coming for events in those hills this hotel would be perfect.

This is a hotel filled with great employees and clean rooms. Leo at the hotel bar and restaurant makes you feel right at home and is sweet and accommodating. Taison, our server at breakfast today, is equally efficient and proficient at his job, as he is light hearted and funny. This has been an excellent stay from the moment we got here. Beautiful hotel and wonderful people who make it a place I'd love to stay again and again.

The staff make all the difference here. This is an older Hilton and it showsthe in-room coffee maker worked about 50% of the time, 1 of the 3 elevators was down the entire week I was here, and it was very obvious that the room hadn't had a thorough cleaning in some timeI cleaned about a quarter inch of dust off the alarm clock & half & half spatter from the dresser. However, every staff member I interacted with was warm, friendly, and extremely helpful.

Bottom line: If you are seeking luxury, this is not the place. If you want someplace to sleep that isn't horrible and is reasonably close to things to do, this is the place.

Staff was very accomodating. Moved our room to a mountain view so we could see fireworks display. Worked with us to accommodate our last minute request for a meeting room. Very knowledgeable about transit system. Breakfast was okay, but cafe near convention center was better. Great location near transit. Clean rooms and great bar!

We rented executive boardroom as our meeting room. Size is good. Convenient yet private. Very close to the convention center (connected to the convention center). Easy for us to hold off site meetings with suppliers attending any event. Great choice!

Beautiful hotel, clean, good service. Rooms are pretty standard. Attached to the convention center. Don't come for the pool though. It's unbelievably small. The hot tub is tiny and cold. Nice exercise room though.

I've never stayed here, so I'll add another star if I get the chance in the next few years if I'm impressed. The hotel is beautiful. Serves plenty of food and very convenient that it's at the convention center. Beautiful place and has plenty of room for large groups!
