Rented here in September 2017. It was absolutely best vacation of my life. The rental properties are a little pricey but worth every penny. We had a couple of issues when we got there but island getaway took care of everything. If you are going to Hilton Head Island call Island getaways.

Island Getaway has been wonderful to work with in booking multiple properties for a tennis tournament. Amanda offered her insight into different properties which helped in narrowing down our choices. We have vacationed with Island Getaways at the same house 10 Junket in Palmetto Dunes for the past five years. The staff has always been very accommodating and responsive every year. As with any rental property, due to wear and tear, appliances and such will sometimes break or fail. What we love about Island Getaways is that they would always have someone come to either fix or repair the problem. Whenever we had to call the office, they were always attentive to our concern and never made us feel as if we were the problem. This year upon departure, I accidentally left some valuables in one of the bathrooms and it wasn’t until I was at home that I found out. This is every renter’s nightmare. With all the personnel involved for the clean-up and preparation of the next rental (cleaning crew, linen crew, maintenance etc) I was worried that I would not be able to reclaim my items, which would have been a terrible loss. Thankfully with the help of Emily Brown Island Getaways and the wonderful cleaning staff, they located my belongings and shipped them back to me immediately. I am truly grateful for their honesty and integrity and that alone is enough to refer them to anyone.

We've been renting properties through Island Getaway for over 15 years. They are a wonderful group of individuals who make our family feel as if we are their favorite customers! We've recommended them to family and friends and each group has been pleased with the service they received.
No matter what our special requests may be in any given year, the Island Getaway team always seem to come through for us. Any issues we may have with a property are always taken care of quickly and to our satisfaction. They have helped make each of our family vacations memories we will cherish. Staying at 11 Moorings for quite a few years. Island Getaway has been wonderful to work with. They have been very helpful every time I come to Hilton Head. This year I worked with Emily, who went out of her way to help me.

The condo is a great place to stay. Palmetto Dunes is a good mid-island location with lots of amenities. This particular condo is close to beach access at the Dunes House which has a beachside bar and grille. The condo is nicely decorated. It has had some nice upgrades in the last few years. It is very reasonably priced compared to other near ocean condos. The pool in the complex is great for those who prefer not to be at the beach.

I have used Island Getaway probably 7 or 8 times over the past few years and it has been a fantastic experience every time. We have stayed at multiple properties that they manage and every one has been beautiful. Amanda always treats us great and her customer service is outstanding! We will continue to use Island Getaway every time we visit Hilton Head Island.

We have used Island Getaway to manage our Hilton Head condo since we purchased it five years ago. The entire staff is always so friendly and helpful, and we routinely receive comments from our guests about the outstanding service Island Getaway provides. The events of the past week have reminded us how great Island Getaway is. Although the Island Getaway team was certainly dealing with events surrounding Hurricane Matthew on a personal level, they were also continuously updating property owners on evacuation and recovery efforts in Hilton Head and quickly inspecting properties across the island. We would highly recommend Island Getaway to anyone wanting to rent a house or condo in Hilton Head or any owner who is looking for a property manager. We are very appreciative of everything they have done for us.

Have been vacationing in Hilton Head for over 20 years with family. We have used multiple companies and stayed in various places. Island Getaway was the first company to truly misrepresent and disappoint. Our vacation home was absolutely filthy. Generally, we expect a few dead bugsbut this was just a very poorly maintained home. Bathrooms didn't drain. Visible staining and dirt on all walls. Mold growing in my bathroom. The bed linens were clearly still wrinkled from the previous guests. Zero safety for children, considering there was a room upstairs with twin bunk beds. We're talking no railing for steep stairs, a front door that cannot be locked from the inside (easy for a toddler to twist open and they did repeatedly), loose screening on the back patio, and in the bedroom with bunk beds just chords to electronic devices absolutely everywhere (a television placed on a dresser NOT for weight baring). We paid an extra $100 a day to heat the pool/spa. We had to take time out of our vacation to call at least 4 times, over multiple days, because of course that didn't work. Even the pool techs on the last day asked ME who rented this property- because it was in one of the poorer shapes he has seen!

I meant to write this review while on vacation, but now is the perfect opportunity. Not only did they fail to credit us the amounts back for the hot tub/pool not working, but they went ahead and charged us an additional WEEK (note: thousands of dollars) on the credit card because they claim damage from smoking. Guess what? No one smoked in the home. And who has heard of a $2400+ "smoking damage" fee?

I hope you don't find out the hard way as we have!

Easy choice, we won't be using Island Getaways ever again. They really misrepresented the property and quality of their rental. And instead of refunding an amount which is fairly due, they are attempting to charge us for an extra week's worth of rent. No doubt to help actually clean the pool, snake the drains, address the mold, clean the carpets and sheets, get the building up to safety codeAll the things that should have been in place before we rented!
