Outstanding Charleston tour. We lucked out and got the 1A tour in which we got to see the beautiful old houses. The guide was incredible. He was funny but extremely professional and educated with Charleston.

We had a great time on the early Black Friday (2017) tour with Shawn. We got out a couple of slots earlier than we had planned because we were arrived early and they weren't busy at that time. It was chilly, but it was fun for an hour long ride around this historic city. We did the combination with Charleston Harbor tours (purchased online), going on the Carolina Belle at 3:30 later that day. The all day parking offered by Palmetto Carriage Works was worth it. It's right across the street from the PCW and we were able to walk all over town that day, leave with our car to go to the Maritime Center for the harbor cruise, then come back to PCW parking lot and walk some more that evening.

Went a few weeks ago (last weekend in October) and loved our experience. Our tour guide was amazing, knowledgeable, and made the tour one to remember! Would definitely go back to them and recommend them to all of our friends.

Had a great trip with King, Ace and Van the driver. Van was very knowledgeable and was very good with the horses; something I appreciated to see being a horse owner. I highly recommend taking this tour. We will definitely be stopping back on our next trip.

Palmetto is truly the best carriage tour company! They are professional, efficient, and timely. You will also witness great care for the animals, which definitely shows when you walk through the doors. I love how they've created a little water park for the animals in the back while the animals are resting in between tours. I highly recommend their tours, as it's the best way to learn about Charleston.

Me and my aunt went on the tours. It was splendid, they did a really nice job. Patrick was our tour guide. He did excellent, really funny and full of compassion. He really new his facts also. About everything. The horses Willie and Waylon,(the girls) did excellent and doing their jobs. Charleston is such a good historical site, Patrick realy seemed to comment on that. With just the right amount of humor. The horses seemed to be well trained, also. Very obedient. Definitely would do it agian. The best tours on carriage in Charleston.

Great Experience. Our guide mixed humor and information in a way that was both entertaining and fascinating. Highly recommend the experience. The company is also rightfully proud of it's humane treatment of the animals and takes pains to explain their process.

If you don't like being squeezed in with a bunch of strangers, then I suggest booking a private tour in advance. But, even though quarters were tight at first (minus one star), we very soon forgot about that thanks to the entertaining and engaging tour guide (plus one star, back to 5 stars). Seeing the city and learning a piece of its history from a horse-drawn carriage was pretty exciting.

We had a fantastic time taking the carriage tour provided by Palmetto Carriage Works!! From the time we lined up for our tour until we got back, we just had the best time. Each person associated with the tour that we had the pleasure of interacting with were just great. We especially enjoyed our time with Van, our "driver". He truly was the reason why we had such an incredible time. His knowledge of the city, coupled with his wit and humor, really made our tour unforgettable. I would highly recommend taking a carriage tour with Palmetto.when I get the chance to visit again, I will definitely consider doing it again.

Really great company. I bet it varies by guide. If you can, ask for 'Gay'. She's a retired military guide that has been doing this for a while and was magnificent! She didn't stop talking the entire time with interesting facts and funny stories about the families and area. They do a lottery of three locations so your experience could vary if you go again.
