A very good brunch today with my lady, my mom and her best friend. We loved the ambiance, good and service. A delightful mid day experience for the four of us. We were created by the hostesses, quickly seated and then greeted by our waiter. Thanks!

It was great. My Marlin was wonderful and my wife's Trout was terrific. Mushrooms we're great as an appetizer and the salad was good, too. Best of all was the service. Jessica was superb. High Cotton is one of our favorite restaurants.

This place lives up to the hype as it came highly recommended to us by our friends. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was to die for. I wish I could bottle up at amazing broth. The service was excellent they clearly higher experienced wait staff, our server was a pro and was working for a high end restaurant in Vegas before working at High Cotton. I will definitely be dinning here again when we return.

We went for our anniversary and were very pleased with the service. We were treated like royalty. At least ten of the staff congratulated us on our anniversary. Well done High Cotton. Oh and the food was wonderful.

Great service, attentive, quick and friendly. The food, as its known to be, is fantastic. Would commonly take guests and clients here while I lived in Chuck Town.

A+. OUTSTANDING. Superb Food, Service and Views. High Cotton lived up to its stellar reputation with excellent service, flavorful food and a view of the bustling streets all around. Classic American fare gets a flavorful update and the fast-moving environment assures there is plenty to see. Great drinks, attentive staff and a warm and luxe vibe made this one of our favorite upscale meals in Charleston. Great soups, cocktails, wines and brunch food too. The bar area had music while we were there and it's a great bar to hang out with a friend or two and go back in time.

This is an upscale southern comfort food restaurant. All the food we tried was out of this world. The restaurant is gorgeous, with an old house charm. The service was great. It's a small place, so the tables are a little close together and it can get loud, but otherwise, it's a great place to eat!

We were underwhelmed. Driving a few hours to spend the weekend in Charleston for a momentous anniversary and having spent WEEKS reviewing and choosing only 2 places to have dinner for the 2 nights we were in town, would not return nor recommend. Maybe it was just an off night, based on the MANY great reviews.
    Raw oysters were superb.
She Crab soup was lifeless and just not good.
$42 filet was overcooked and not seasoned.
Cocktail and wine was was fine. Kind of hard to mess up there.
    Band was drab and boring.
    Staff was FANTASTIC.

Great ambiance and food. The live music in the bar area set the mood without being overpowering. I prefer by crab soup a bit thicker, but the frothiness was nice and not too heavy. My friend said his grits were a bit too soupy, however the shrimp was delicious. The highlight of the menu was the salmon, which was served with caramelized peaches and thick, black pepper bacon that set it over the top.

Jennifer, our server, was a delight. The meal was as good as it gets, bar none. The meat and cheese tray, shrimp & grits, shellfish ravioli-----You'll go far to find a better meal. The Bergmans

Very nice upscale restaurant that has been in Charleston for a long time. White table clause with waiters and waitresses in full uniform makes for a wonderful evening or breakfast or brunch. It is definitely recommended to have reservations because seating can't be limited in the restaurant is always full. They do have a full bar and will accommodate you in anyway possible.

My friend and I visited High Cotton twice on our vacation to Charleston. Both times the service exceeded all expectations. A special thanks to Madeline and Ron for they're gracious attention to us during our visit. The food is excellent and will not disappoint, and the entertainment in the bar was the most enjoyable bluegrass band we have ever heard. Hands down High Cotton is the place to be if you're in Charleston!

Incredibly delicious. Visited for brunch. Table cloths were immaculate, service was outstanding. We had a guest with us that was allergy sensitive. The waitress took extra special care and alerted the staff. Food was promptly brought out and coffee and water service was 5 star. Try the donut holes and Cinnamon Roll to start. The eggs Benedict was delicious! The bluegrass trio playing in the lounge was delightful. A truly unique dining experience.
