Will never go back! 16 oz rib eye came to the table lukewarm. Very hard to separate the hard gristle from the steak to eat. I love the taste of a good rib eye but this was lacking greatly. Much better steaks available at other locations.
The steak soup is very, very odd. Somewhat tastes like it came from a can. Would not recommend
Service was good, not great. I got the ribs, and the only flavor seemed to be liquid smoke and off the shelf BBQ sauce. In a town known for BBQ it was pretty disappointing especially since I could have gotten better ribs at half the cost elsewhere. My wife got the KC strip and called it average. Overall Outback would have been a better choice.
First time I've been here. Service was perfect, food was perfect. Didn't have reservation and only waited 15 minutes for a table on a Friday night. Pricey, but worth it.
It was a perfect romantic night with dim lit lights, and wonderful wine. The filet was the best and most spectacular thing ever to go in my mouth.
Excellent prime rib dinner, twice baked potato & Steak soup. Our server Nicholas was outstanding. So attentive & friendly. Highly recommend restaurant & ask for Nicholas.
Great tasting steak, and rest of food is delish also. Good friendly efficient service. Expensive, but worth it.
Kyle was great! He greeted our table with water in hand (which just happen to be our drinks of choice). We reviewed the menu before being seated and was ready to order when great! The food was delicious! The salmon is a must try! Seemed to be a nice and clean restaurant. We dined outdoors and didnt see any issues!
Service was atrocious. We were there for a total of two and a half hours, all of which was waiting. People (with our size party or larger) who were seated after us got there food before we did. Servers were almost never present at our table. It seemed like we were forgotten, and like they didn't care if we did business with them at all. We were also given zero compensation or even an apology for the extreme wait time. The food is also overpriced for the quality of it and the service. The food was actually decent, but not for its price. I could give it a higher rating for the food alone, but the service was too unforgivable for even 2 stars.
Excellent service. Very good food and atmosphere
My husband I and went to Hereford House for a late lunch today at Zona Rosa. I would have to agree with most of the other reviews on here that the service was lackluster and for the price, I expected better flavor. I had the filet which was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly but there was zero seasoning. I know you can add different flavors but I expected there to be at least some base seasoning on there but it had none. My husband had the ribeye and it had surprisingly less flavor than my filet and was very tough.
Although our server was incredibly friendly and got our order right, we were disappointed in the amount of time it took to get our order taken. Considering there were only two other tables occupied, we expected to be in and out rather quickly, but we weren't. After we placed our order it took a significant amount of time to receive our entrees.
Given the price, slow service and lackluster flavor, I highly doubt we go back. We don't mind paying good money for a good steak but I don't think Hereford House is worth it.
Very nice! Wonderful staff! Great food! Would come back!
I agree with some of the negative reviews. First off, $100 for two steaks, an appetizer and a single glass of wine, plus tip is a bit hard to swallow, especially when you are just going out for lunch. Second, our waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time and my wife and I were left waiting for refills and it took forever once we were done and ready to get our tab.
Third, the potatoes I had with my steak were not very good and I barely touched them, but that may have been more personal preference, as my wife liked them.
With all that you may be wondering why I gave them four stars. The reason? THE STEAK WAS AWESOME!!!
I think I had the strip steak(medium rare) and it seriously was on point. I can say that without a doubt that if I have ever had a better, juicier, more flavorful steak I honestly don't recall when.
I wish the price was a tad more down to earth, and the staff a bit more attentive, but I will go again.
Dessert was the only good thing about our visit. My steak was cooked incorrectly TWICE. One of the other servers was throwing temper tantrums near by as an added bonus. The Independence location is better. Worth the extra drive.
