My wife and mother on law did the grape smashing here and loved it. They were able to get there wine with there picture on it. They loved the wine, was a good experience

My kids simply love this place. Katherine first started picking blueberries here when she was just two years old. Now the twins - Rebecca and William - have visited as well. Although blueberries are not in season. they did get to chase the chickens on Sunday while Jennifer purchased several bottles of wine

We stopped at the winery to pick up some Christmas gifts and a bottle of wine. Wound up spending more than planned because of the nice things we found there for reasonable prices. Looking forward to trying out the grape seed oil.

My wife's parents winter in Lake Placid. Soon after they moved there we discovered Henscratch Farms during a visit. It has since changed ownership but it is still a wonderful place to visit with family. A working farm, there are chickens and pigs for the kids to see and feed, and depending on the season, fruits and vegetables to pick fresh.

They make a range of marvelous muscadine grape wines as well. For those unfamiliar with them, they produce a sweeter wine with a wonderful flavor. We are sure to pick up at least 3 bottles of our favorites every visit. Do yourself a favor and seek this place out! Your sure to find a knickknack or foodstuff you "must have" in their gift shop!
