Not great. Flies on the table. Plastic cups. Average food. Very loud road traffic. Dirty. Cigarette smoke. Entertainment was good. Was not permitted to hold our 10 lb. dog on our lap in outside seating area. Will not return.

Numerous previous visits here proved to be poor in the quality of drinks (foamy Crown Apple, foamy Jim Beam shots, and even White Russians have all tasted like beer), but not tonight. Maybe it was due to ordering something simple (white rum and cranberry), but possibly due to changes in staff, as I saw many new faces serving, behind the bar and on the floor. Not the greatest of prices, but still in the range of reasonable. Our server, a hard working soon-to-be-mom, was quick on her feet, pleasant, and knowledgeable with menu details, although was unwilling to discuss a discounted replacement for someone else spilling my full drink. The food was appealing, as well as hot and delicious. The band was great, playing favorites from a range of decades. Dean's has upped their game, and definitely deserved my patronage!

Food is always good here! Love there Steak Fajitas, delux nachos, chicken chimi, burritos, tamales and more. You can eat in or out. There is usually a band at night and it can get loud! I only ate breakfast there once & only once, it took 1 hour to get our food & it wasn't our order. We left & never went back for breakfast. Kid friendly inside only for dinner.

This restaurant is one of my parents favorite spots. They particularly like it for breakfast or brunch. They have a self serve bloody mary bar and if you're too lazy to go to it they can make a pretty decent one for you. I have never had any issues with the food. Nothing to write home about mind you, but definitely decent and worth the price. The staff it's probably the most attractive part of this restaurant. They are very nice and engaging and will do whatever they need to do to ensure that you have a good time. The management is also very present and actively ensures that their customers needs are being met and that they are satisfied.

Food is excellent and the atmosphere was a mix between fun and relaxing. The live music here is a added bonus and many great local bands and musicians play there. It’s worth a visit day or night.

I had previously wrote a post about the head chef being on vacation, but they have improved their menu since. I would now recommend trying them. it's a lot of fun and got a big crowd when the bands are there and can be quite amusing.

We have been there twice in last month. Food was just acceptable. Wings were institutional quality. Place was filthy and falling apart ! Is there a Health Department in Punta Gorda? Bathroom door was rotted out and not functional. Watched waitress pick up ice from counter with hands and put it in cups. Place needs a complete cleaning and remodel. Disgusting !!

LOVE Dean's!! Whether you want a brew & some live music, a great Mexican meal or a great place to watch Sunday's football game Dean's is the place to be! Indoor & outdoor seating and reasonable prices.

Just had our first BREAKFAST at Dean's! Love the small town feeling of the place. It was served up fast and friendly. Awesome prices and great variety on the breakfast menu.

Wow what a fabulous bang for the buck. My husband and I moved to Port Charlotte in May and have been looking for a good Tex-Mex restaurant. The food was served hot and it was delicious. Our server did a fabulous job and juggling several tables. We went on a Sunday and the special of the day was only $8.00 which was 2 tacos and a large burrito not to mention rice and beans. Thanks Dean's South of the Border for proving an outstanding product along with outstanding customer service.

There is inside and outside bar options. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have the Buzztime trivia game that can be played while u visit.

This is a unique place to say the least. You can get virtually any type of food here. They have a entertaining area outside as well. I understand it's owned by the same people who own Hurricane Charley's? It's not expensive it's very casual and a fun place to go and listen to music when it's available.
