Henry's is a wonderful coffee shop and eatery that offers a quaint, local vibe (personalized service), which is ideal for small meetings or a cozy lunch. The coffee is outstanding and the food is too. I have stuck with the various panini's, as they are all delicious! Give this place a try; it's one of Indy's best kept secrets.
Great little place! My coffee cup was cracked, so it dribbled my Americano on the table while I wasn't drinking it, so that, and the silverware handles being kind of greasy, are the only reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. Veggie quiche was really good, and they panini press their bagels, so they're toasted on both sides. 9/10, would dine again.
I love this place on a chilly day. Try their breakfast burrito for their lime cilantro dipping sauce. Great for a cold Sunday reading day.
I have frequented this place for many years. I feel it has gone downhill. I probably drop in 1-2 times a month and it seems like there is a new rule every time I come. Also, I hear customers being given a list of the coffee rules when I go. If you go, make sure you know The Rules because they will likely repeat them for you. Many new customers comment about list of rules. No refills or discounted fills here, even for regulars.
Amazing atmosphere and outstanding service! Truly a hidden gem! I am overly excited to share my experience with my coworkers and friends. This will be my go-to for any and every social gathering I have in the future😊😊😊
I was sitting outside at one of the tables and the entire area was empty and not much traffic was in the shop. I was working on my laptop using my own hotspot when a lady said the manager said i couldn't work here because it was for customers only. And the only reason I hadn't bought something is because I had stopped drinking coffee for a week and had just eaten lunch. So i was forced to either leave or purchase something. I have been coming to this shop since I was 7 and lately the service has decreased.
Food is prepared well and is tasty. But I hate ordering at the counter and having to answer twenty questions about how I want my breakfast bagel. I'd rather say a number 4 with scrambled and coffee.
Nice place to grab a coffee and even stay for food. The food is good! Easy place to take up post and get a little work done.
Really delicious mocha, not so great breakfast burritos, they were mostly just egg
Loved my experience here! Great food and friendly service!
Everything subpar. I had a bagel with cream cheese and a large latte. I ordered a garlic bagel and was given an everything bagel. The side of cream cheese that came with the bagel was very small and the bagel itself was average at best. Worse than that was the latte which tasted like stale coffee with some milk foam on the top. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a little homey, and a little cheap. Won't be going back unless it's out of necessity.
Been coming to Henry's for a decade, enjoying the incremental positive changes all the while. Solid food, great selection, snappy espresso, and an actual human being behind the counter. Here is a place where the owner knows your name, a place where you can hide and get serious work done. A place modeled more on the old coffee houses of Europe, not the sleek commerce pipe of Starbucks. I'd say this is a coffee house for grown ups. Oh, and do stop in for the revolving local art show that adorns the walls!
5 cents a water cup. That should say it all. Came up to the counter to ask for water with the danish (it and tea were great btw), poor girl working at the counter asked the owner if she could give me a plastic water cup with my purchase. Nope. Don't worry though- they covered me for it "this time" after I handed them a credit card for it. "Just remember next time" the man says. Don't worry- there won't be a next time! I haven't been charged for tap water in 10 years buddy.
