My wife was transferred to Bixby for an emergency appendectomy. From the time we arrived she was treated great and given the attention she needed. Doctor Martin was her surgeon and he was very professional and kind. My wife stayed in the hospital for the next 5 days. The staff was great and the doctor visited her each day. They were very helpful during a tough time. Thank you Bixby staff, you exceeded my expectations.
I have found the Adrian branch to be discriminatory against men both in their hiring practices and in the treatment of patients. I mentioned this to the women in the CT unit the first time I was there. My doctor has twice sent a request for a CT and they have ignored the request. My fear is cancer but apparently, the women at the clinic don't care. It is interesting that they are proud to have a facility for gynecology and brag that only women are hired but when it comes to men, they do not provide a male clinician.
Furthermore, a male friend who was very sick at this hospital. The doctor ordered physical therapy which was needed to keep him alive. The female therapist (rude at best) came once, and because he wasn't allowed to use the potty chair before walking him, he had an accident and was put back to bed and never treated again. He ended up dying.
Let it be known that I do not have a problem with female doctors, dentists, or even clinicians but I don't like a place where all the patient contact staff are women. If you're male and can go somewhere else, do it!
Took my daughter in to have an internal growth looked at on the inside of her thigh..the doc said wait and see what happens ..i don't even know what to say honesty
Great staff and care. Everyone from the front desk, nurse, X-ray tech, they were all amazing and so kind. Glad to have came here for my treatment!
Took my son to get stitches in his knee and the Dr told the nurse a specific stitch that needed to be done. Well the nurse didn't do it that way and the stitches came out not even 24 hrs. Later. So took him to Herrick and they said it looked like it was healing nicely and put steristrips instead of stitches that didn't work. So know it looks worse than when it happened. He keeps breaking it open and he is going to have a huge nasty scar on his knee. I'm beyond pissed.
Dr satello is a quack he has earned a malpractice lawsuit from yours truly as I'm walking home after 3am alone with all my bags lol we will see who gets the last laugh
Went to this hospital to have a small piece of debris removed from my eye. There were 4 patients in front of me when I got there. After about an hour and only one patient was looked at I started getting impatient and noticed the staff laughing and joking. They were all so inefficient and obviously didn't care about the people waiting. The girl behind the desk was rude as if I was interrupting something important as she talked of her personal life and what she had going on outside work with her coworkers. I was in pain and needed help so I sat quietly. After 4 hours there was nothing they could do. A complete waist of time. Went to eye doctor next morning and was on my way in less than an hour.
Horrible. They misdiagnosed me. I won't ever go back there. I'll drive an hour to go to a different hospital.
Been here on Multiple occasions nothing exceptional at all about this place. They took none of my health concerns seriously at all lost 15lbs within a couple weeks time due to bowel problems coupled with mental deterioration all they did was give nausea med's and send me home saying it was just IBS and Anxiety. GI Team at U of M told me specifically that IBS doesn't wake you up in the middle of the Night I am now currently being checked for Chrons Disease. Along with the fact I'm a recovering Alcoholic they started giving me addictive med's which my main physician told me to stay away from like Antivan and Morphine for No Apparent reason after I informed them of my prior addiction. If you have to receive Medical attention in Lenawee county I suggest Herrick this place is Inconsiderate of any need's you may have an don't even bother to help you with your problems.
This is the worst place to go I wouldn't take my dog there. Actually I would rather go to the vet doc Kelly she probably knows more about human anatomy than any doctor or nurse they prescribed Nystatin powder to be taken orally by my 2week old newborn??? That could cause severe medical problems let alone the powder reacts to mucus membranes and causes severe burning.. please look into any medication that bandaid station tries to give your children they do not know anything about what they prescribe they just rush you out with whatever pays them best on your insurance

Waited 3 hours in the ER, along with 4 other ppl. Had a sick 3 year old who couldn't stop throwing up. There was no hurry and terrible service by the lady at the front counter. When will Lenawee county have a medical/hospital that is worth a damn?
