  I have been shopping here for years. This is a grocery store worth driving past a couple others to get to. The entire staff is friendly and management is fantastic. My favorite staff has to be all the guys in the fresh meat and fish department, they take the time to remember you and the things you like. Phil recognized I love salmon and introduced me to a salmon seasoning I have kept in stock ever since in my home. Just really great people! Kudos!

  The place has a small town feel to it. And the staff is always super nice and helpful. I love how they have a lot of local brands for merchandise.

  Updated review 4/17:
  This place really does have great customer service. The friendliest staff. I had a problem here today and they bent over backwards to help me out. Really outstanding. So 5 stars for the staff!
  
  That said, i stand by my earlier post that stated the store itself is dated and needs some major improvements. The other day i walked in and there was a garbage can catching dripping water in the produce section. I mean, would that be tolerated in Johnson County? I really want management to take the needed improvements here seriously.
  
  I complained to Hen House corp folks several years ago and they said they would have to "work harder" now that they have more competition in town (ie Walmart out west) but I still haven't seen any major improvements.

  Nice store. Can easily see it from the road. Friendly employees though they seem short-handed at times. A place to sit and eat a hot meal.
