Had a great dinner tonight! Tenderloin was perfect, and my wife loved her pasta dish. We're back in the area after 30 year absence, so waitress let us sample the chicken vegetable dumpling soup and the chili, both of which we will return for and another time.

I had to write a review because every other time I’ve gone to the hearthstone it’s been amazing! But last night, unfortunately, our food was not very good. I NEVER complain about food. But since the hearthstone is relatively pricey and my heart was kinda broken because I usually love their food, well, I had to tell our server I didn’t like a drink and the starter salad I ordered. Our server was great! However, the salad tasted like there was no dressing on it at all. Just lettuce and a few croutons (I ordered a caesar). I ordered a mixed drink that was supposed to have quite a few different components to it and it tasted like vodka and some super bitter grapefruit juice. I tried to make myself like it but it was awful. I am super disappointed and I’m wondering what changed our server was awesome though!

Took way to long to get our first drink. We sat upstairs in the new dinning area. My french onion soup was barely warm. Not off to a good start. My sandwich and wife's pasta almost made up for the initial shortcomings. My experience has usually been very nice. Still my wife's favorite place!

Best food in Muskegon hands down. Very fancy for adults but also a very child friendly place as well. Kids are entertained by coloring on the table cloth placed on every table. Prices are adequate for the amount and quality of the food. I will definitely pay for quality and will be a returning customer.

I can not go on enough about how wonderful this place is!!! Where do I start!? The restaurant is gorgeous! The wait staff was amazing! We had a table of 13 people all paying separate and a birthday as well and our waitress Mary was just perfect! She handled everything beautifully and was well knowledged on the menu and drinks and we wanted for nothing! AND THE FOOD WAS BRILLIANT!! All 13 of us were super happy with our meals and appetizers! Highly recommend this place when you are in this area!!!

Very finely prepared food with careful attention to detail. Service is always competent and cordial. A wonderful bistro under new management striving to maintain a long history of excellent casual cuisine with French accents. The best for many miles around.

Came here for our 34th wedding anniversary. WOW. The service and food were awesome – we had the whitefish and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was wonderful to us and as soon as they found out we were having our anniversary they even signed a card for us! Who does that? These people are great !

    WHATEVER YOU DO
    DO NOT EAT HERE!
    I PROMISE YOU
it will ruin all other dining experiences,
    present, past, and future.

Coming here is always a treat! It's like a celebration, and I enjoy the unique food. I love the ability to get something different; its refreshing.

I love the table cloths, my creative juices can flow into beautiful creations, as my mouth waters, waiting for the chef's delicious creations!

Thanks for helping make Muskegon a great place to be.

Went with my fiance for our 4 year anniversary 2 weeks ago and had a great time. We have been there once before and its one of the few place where you leave happier than you came in.

Fantastic food. Great service. One complaintMy wife and I each ordered a beer. Their craft beer menu did not list prices. When we got the bill, my wife's 12 oz bottle of beer cost $12. If you're going to ask that much for a beer, list the price. I'd expect to pay $4 bucks for a Bud and maybe $6 for a craft, but $12?!

From the time we were greeted at the entrance, to the excellent service we received from both Server Tessa & Manager Damien, to the delectable food. A little slice of Heaven located right in Muskegon Michigan. This was our first time there. Super impressed. Will highly recommend to our social circle. Pat your selves on the back Hearthstone staff. Well done, I say again WELL DONE!

Great food, relaxed service. Very diverse menu from amped up burgers and wichs to duck and short ribs. Cooler was down so no draft brews but had a very good local micro. Kettle chips were awesome. French Onion Soup also outstanding. Would definitely go back.

We've been dining here for nearly 5 years and I will say it's the most consistent restaurant I've been to in west MI. Always fresh, locally sourced food presented in a beautiful tasteful way and served by the most courteous staff. This place is always crazy busy and rightfully so! I would recommend making a reservation, and as others have mentioned, and parking can be a challenge. There are vegan options, don't be fooled, they can pretty much accomodate any special dietary needs. Outside seating in the summer is especially nice as inside can be a bit cramped. Great as a date night place (especially romantic to be sat near the fireplace in the center area) or with family or friends in a group. We've literally never walked away disappointed here. Thank you to the staff and owners at Hearthstone, you can tell you LOVE the food you serve!
