I was traveling with my wife on my way to visit family in the Northeast. This is a midway point. Have had experience with Hampton Inn before and always satisfied. We walked in with no reservations and were happy to get nice room. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in getting us a room.
After traveling several hours, we hit the indoor pool to relax. It was one of the nicest pools I have seen. There were also an indoor and outdoor hot tub and steam room! All were in great shape and well cared for.
Will definitely stay here again when we go back to visit the family.response / report this review -

Hampton Inn is a very nice place to stay. Very friendly staff at the desk. The lobby and eating area on the first floor are comfortable places to meet friends and family. The breakfast is yummy! The rooms are just what we expect to have at Hampton, comfy beds, clean, clean, clean! The exercise room and pool areas are just right for my family! It's our favorite place to stay!

Although I wasn't too excited to be in wheeling for job training purposes, this particular Hampton inn really made me feel at home and welcomed. It was very clean and the staff is unbelievably helpful and genuine. You can tell they really care and take pride in their job. George always had a smiling face, and was the first to go above and beyond to see if he could get anything for you or simple if you were having a good day. Another thing that really stood out to me was that the assistant general manager was busting his butt and working right along side with everyone else. Not just telling people what to do and when to do it like a lot of managers. He would pick us up from training about 10 minutes away and take us back to the hotel and would always make sure to see how our training was going and gave great suggestions on things to do in the area for the night. The whole staff seemed like one big happy family and They included you from the get go. They also provided the BEST dinner at a hotel that I have ever had. Everything was homemade and you could definitely tell. This was my first time in Wheeeling and I don't have any real reason to go back, but this Hampton inn makes me want to take a trip back asap.

This hotel has the best, mist accommodating staff. They are genuinely interested in helping guests in any way they can. They made a difficult trip much more enjoyable. I was staying there while my father was in Wheeling Hospital. They took care of all my needs while there, going above and beyond what was needed or expected. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality.

Above and Beyond! I stayed on a Monday evening and they had a complimentary Pulled Pork and Rib dinner that was Fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. As a outside sales rep who stays in about 75 hotels nights a yeari can say this hotel stay was exceptional and I’ll be back!

This is a great place to stay!!! Staff is extremely friendly!! Was very pleased with everything!! Breakfast was great with them cooking fresh pancakes. The ladies at the breakfast bar go way above for you!!

I say a Hotel is Almost always about the staff. This hotel has- The Staff! Taylor was all over it. Room was clean and neat. Lobby was nice, staff friendly and quick to help. Great Hotel!

The staff was warm and friendly. Particular kudos to Jenn for making us plain scrambled eggs when the only thing on the buffet table was ham and eggs. A great stop on a trip through Wheeling

One of the best hotels I have stayed in within the 48 states. The staff is friendly, clean rooms and outstanding service. The Monday night's are great with the hotel grilling out for the guest. I look forward to my Mondays when I am here on business.

Exceptional staff, very clean accommodations, beautiful work out room. The Teak Garden by the front entrance is a lovely spot to relax at the end of the day or in the morning with your coffee. We stayed there during the Heritage Music Blues Fest, very handy location and the hotel provided a shuttle to the festival.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for a Wedding and it was a GREAT Experience! It was very clean, the Hotel Staff were VERY HELPFUL and PLEASANT! The Pool area was so nice and accommodating for children! :) The free breakfast was good.They provide a shuttle which drove us around all weekend. I have stayed at many hotels and I always had something disappointing with them but not this hotel! I have NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about this hotel! :) :)

I was excited about my stay, until I arrived. I am not handicapped, but was put in a handicap accesible room - the bathroom had a distinctly unpleasant smell and the shower was difficult to use in a standing position. The bathroom off the lobby was in desperate need of cleaning, and the water from the drinking fountain ran white. Friendly staff, a convenient location, and nice pool area are the only things this stay had going in its favour.

They gave me 2 queen beds instead of the king I booked. And the bathrooms smell like mold. But the staff is super friendly and very attentive.

Love loved loved! From the cookies and coffee at the reception area to the clean gorgeous pool area! Comfy beds clean room. I don't smoke but they even have a cozy heated area outside for smokers, free shuttle service to and from the casino pleasant and reliable. free breakfast was delicious and had a nice variety of food, staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!!!

This lovely hotel is phenomenal in every way--exquisitely clean and beautiful, filled with excellent amenities-pool, exercise spa, loads of extras, spacious lobby, super attentive staff, close parking--and, best of all, free breakfast! This "don't-miss-it" free breakfast has fresh fruit, waffles, delicious eggs, excellent oatmeal, pastries and toast. I saw Karen in the pantry at 5:30 am when I couldn't sleep and she was creating homemade delights! Extraordinary management. I'm coming back! A++++++
