Place is decently clean, staff is moderately friendly but could be friendlier. Biggest complaint is there are not signs from the parking garage to the lobby I ended up walking around the corner outside back to the lobby. They should add a sign that says to take the elevator to the L floor. It was past midnight and I was very tired and because I didn't know the area I wasn't sure how to get back to the lobby from the parking.

My family was in a rush to plan a memorial celebration for my brother who passed away just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

I called several different revues in the Ohio Valley and I found they were either booked or way out of our price range, but not the McLure.

The General Manager Nicole returned my call promptly and I explained the situation and from there, she and her staff at the McLure were fantastic! Everyone at the McLure was hospitable and friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed.

If you're ever looking for a banquet facility, I HIGHLY recommend contacting Nicole and her team!

Thanks for everything you all did to help us celebrate my brother's life!

We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite. The room was very spacious. Everything was in working order. Carpets were worn, and the room needs some patch work done on it. The room itself looks like it used to be a main entrance as there is a doorway leading right to the street. It was fully locked with no way in, but still a bit awkward. Found no bugs. Staff was very nice. Would recommend.

Staying here for a month straight. Room was clean. Bed is wore out. Pillows are literally an inch thick. 3 table lamps. One without a bulb. One broke and one you have to jiggle switch while getting a shock to turn on. You either freeze or sweat with air temp. No real control there. Mini fridge seal on door wore out. It runs all the time and never gets cold. I have talked to front desk a couple times now still no fix. They clean room daily. Clean towels. The rooms serves a purpose. Would expect more since there are 6 of us here for a month.

This place is really going down hill. Only one ice machine for the whole motel. By Saturday no ice. Needs a good cleaning. It has a odor. Not enough towels for rooms. The chairs in room we put towels down to sit on. Shower more water comes from below instead of shower head. Bathrooms molding, mildew.

This hotel should get a 10. Great hotel very clean. What a great piece of history with several Presidents staying there. A former bellboy turned out to be a famous hotelier. A must stay. Staff A+

Yes, this place has a long long history. Not just being an old hotel in a once thriving city, but the history the people that both worked there and were guest! I just stayed one night, and only saw this one room, it was just ok. Breakfast was prepackaged muffins of various flavors, coffee empty. Full disclosure, I worked in the kitchen for a little over a year. That was circa '73, '74, and even I have many stories that could script at least one season of a sitcom. Restore? $$$$ Building was renovated over several years. Restoration .

Super cheap - super clean. No gimmicks. Historical part of town - everything is a 5 minute drive away. Parking garage is connected to the hotel.

Went looking for an extended stay. The guy who I had been communicating with left before I arrived. He claimed he would get a maintenance man to show me the room. That was a lie. I drive there for no reason.

The room was VERY VERY HOT! We couldn't turn down the heat and we had to sleep with the door open because the fan would draw the cool air in.. also there was used towels in our room and used shampoo all over the bathroom! It would take an act of God to get me to come back

Nice zone, historic building, some recepcionist were nice with me and my family, the rooms is ok but they can do better, the maids need new training and be more nice with the guest. I give 2 starts because somebody needs to teach them to respect the guest and their property, sometimes they no clean the room and never before I listened a lots excuses from the staff. In two weeks they only clean my room 4 times and the rest always they lied about why the job wasn't done.

My husband and I had a great stay! We loved the History. Presidents and Marilyn Monroe stayed at this hotel as well! Very cool. The staff was very helpful and kind. The Lobby has a beautiful staircase and chandelier! The elevators we're neat. Mirrors all the way around. The room was a nice size, TV, WiFi, microwave, fridge, iron & board, hairdryer, air conditioning, and you can also open the window. Water pressure was great! That's always a big deal to me so I was happy. The location is an area that's quiet and not too busy. Close to entertainment. I would definitely stay again! Affordable, historical, and all around pleasant stay!
