My favorite casino. It attracts an older crowd which keeps it mellow and has every game you could expect of a casino including live dog races. Has an awesome feel to the environment inside as well along with a hotel that is very nice as well. . I've been there a hundred times at least and have always received great service from the hotel and casino staff.

The hotel/casino was amazing. Good clean rooms, staff was friendly and helpful. The casino was huge and had a lot of machines and tables. Restaurants offered good variety of food for reasonable hotel pricing. All in all I will define returning!

I love going here. It's my get away time on my day off however it is extremely hard to win They used to have a game called Tarzan and it was the best machine they had and for some reason they took them all out. They replaced it with buffaloes but you can never get along them because they only have 4 And the night that I got on 1I put $500 before I got a bonus in the bonus only paid me $22. And I don't think that any machine should take $500 before you get a bonus and it's only a penny machine. So I definitely give it 2 thumbs down

Beautiful hotel and casino. We had a regular king size room. There was a refrigerator and safe. The room was large enough to accommodate two comfortable chairs an ottoman and desk. The bathroom was large and had beautiful tile accents with a warming light in the ceiling. I hate dark hotel rooms. There was plenty of lighting and each lamp had a 3-way bulb. The hotel, room and hallways were very clean. The pool and hot tub facility was beautiful. There was also a nice fire pit area outside. Although, I don't have small children anymore, I did notice that they had child care available and an arcade for kids. Would definitely stay here again.

Wheeling Island is one of my favorite stops if I'm travelling I-70. As a professional driver, I have never had an issue parking here. In turn, we develop strong customer loyalty to places that accommodate us in kind. They offer a wide selection of video slots, poker and keno in most every denomination you may be seeking. It's rare to find nickel keno and video poker among the many casinos I have visited, not here. Staff here has always been inviting and pleasant. Their rewards program is better for me than most. It allows for instant free play redemption at the machine, as opposed to waiting on mailers, email, etc. Most of which I never get to take advantage of due to constant travel. Wheeling Island is definitely worth a visit if you're passing through Ohio, WV, PA along I-70.

My husband and I usually stay here when we come into town but this visit was very different. The rooms are dusty. Lamps weren't working. There was blood on the toilet handle. We asked housekeeping to touch up our room and they totally missed the blood stains on the toilet that obviously had been there for awhile. They changed the towels on top of the tank and still didn't clean it up until we had to get someone to do it ourselves. The buffet usually isn't all that good but this time it was better. The pasta bar is great. But for the amount of money we spend in the casino the drinks should be free. $2-$3 for an orange juice is ridiculous!

They have lots of new updated slots and great table games. However for a casino it really doesn't have any extras. The only drinks you can get complimentary is fountain pop or coffee in an 8oz Dixie type cup. They have no complimentary alcohol at all. There is no pool or spa. The only gift shop is tiny and doesn't carry much stuff. Mostly just trinkets. They have suites but you can't rent them. You HAVE to go through a hostess to get a suite. If you asked the front desk they will lie to you and say "I am sorry but we don't have suites." And smile while they are saying it like they are trained to lie about it rather than tell you t to contact a hostess. Just doesn't hold up to most casinos that I have been to.

It's a really great atmosphere in a really great area. There's plenty to do. We go for the racetrack on Sundays, and it's a ton of fun. The racetrack is very well maintained and you can get free drinks. After that, we hit the casino where we take out Player's cards and get some free spins on a slot machine or use vouchers for money to use on a table game. It's a lot of fun and can be for families too.

    BEDBUGS on CHAIR
Was in town and thought, what the heck, would check it out. Went inside. Having never been in a casino before, they told me I could not enter the main area. So, I said, is there a place I can sit down, where there is a chair. They showed me a pace in the casino that had a chair. I sat down, and put a finger partially under the chair to hold it as I was sitting down. I then got a message on my cell phone, as I picked my finger up to hold my cell phone, I saw a bed bug on my finger! I squashed it and blood went on my wrist and finger. I was shocked I then got on my cell phone, and looked at pics of bedbugs. I then asked one person there if I could talk to a manger, he did nothing. I then asked a lady, she played the good old "Denial" game. Claiming bedbugs have hard shells. Said if I killed one it would be big. So she basically called me a liar. I looked around and saw an elevator, most of the people going in and out had suit cases. So I assume a lot of people sit in this chair, and at some point it has become infested with BED BUGS. I then asked for a manager again, security came, and once again denial, said it could of came from anywhere. Said i was trespassing because I did not have a license. I told them they need to put that out front and I would not even come in. After this experience, I will never go into another restaurant in a motel, or convention, to much traffic, which could lead to bed bugs on anything inside.

We attended the all you can eat buffet on a Friday to eat crab legs and and seafood. My husband was worried that he wouldn't be able to eat much because he only eats fish. To our surprise there was much much more to satisfy his needs. Roast, chicken, pasta and much more. It was really nice!!

We only had a couple days home again so I made sure to make it over to Wheeling Island a couple of timesI adore this casino Each and every staff member always goes out of their way to welcome us and wish us good luck.and most welcome us "home". Im a pretty big fan of casinos, and Wheeling Island feels like going to a family reunionI especially like that I get great deals on a room as part of my players rewards.

We always have a great time while we are there. Never had a problem! Some of the guards need to smile and be friendlier. It's hit and miss, most of the time when we go the staff is super friendly and other times we get a negative person which can really throw off your vibe. Food seems over priced, not a huge variety. We usually like to go with $50 or so and it would be nice to get a cheap burger while we were there or something. We have gone to a few of the free community events there too and we loved it. Gives a good sense of community and brought us in, we stayed and had drinks and spent money. More free events like that would surely draw in crowds. Over all we were pleased.

Went to the Greyhound racing at wheeling island. It was awesome. We have been multiple times in Florida but they run the races closer together here. Less down time and better pay outs. Plus inside seating. Casino was great too. Highly recommend !!
