Awesome hotel and staff with a lot of things to do around it. Great downtown and hawt women.
Clean and simple hotel. The staff is very nice. Nothing is elaborate, however it was perfect for what I needed.
The staff at this Hampton Inn was amazing. They were all fabulous but Josh went above and beyond to make our stay great!
Good Location in the heart of downtown. Alot of places to eat just short walking distance from the hotel. Second stay at this hotel. Only negative remark was bar behind was kind of loud needed ear plugs to sleep.
Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown (Raleigh, NC)

Tip: Check-in with the Hilton App ahead of time, use Digital Key for the room and parking (if you need to park). It was super-easy.
Tip: If you want a quiet hotel on a weekend, this is NOT the place. If you want to be near the action, this is! It wasn't horrible, but there is definitely a lot of street/bar/club noise if you are a light sleeper or have kids.
Great location and pretty good hotel! This hotel is definitely located well for a night out in the Glenwood South area of downtown Raleigh. It's right in the middle of the action, with easy access to all the bars and restaurants in the area. It was up to the standards of most Hampton Inns, relatively modern and clean. The room was a bit small, but had modern furnishings, was clean, and the bathroom and shower were large. Our room was pretty much in the middle of the hotel, facing W. Johnson Street. It had a small window in the middle of the room with not much of a view (just the offices across the street). As other reviews have said, the street noise we fairly loud until pretty late (maybe 3am or so), but not horrible. I slept fine with the ear plugs and my wife was fine without them, but if you are a light sleeper, you will definitely have trouble.
The lobby is nicely decorated and laid-out, as with most of these breakfast-included hotels, the seating in the breakfast area is inadequate when it's crowded. It was fine for us, though. Decent breakfast, standard fare. The front-desk staff was friendly and helpful.
There is paid parking across the street ($7 per day, not bad). The best part was that you can check-in ahead of time with the Hilton App and get a digital key which you can use for the parking deck also, then they just charge your room $7. It was super easy, we went straight into parking deck (there are signs, easy to find) and walked across the street to the hotel and straight to our room.didn't need to go to front desk at all. Highly recommend choosing your room and checking in ahead of time with the App, it was awesome!
Positives: Clean, modern, awesome location for Glenwood South.
Negatives: Road/street noise, rooms was a bit small (definitely not a "suite").
Nice new hotel. The entrance is round the side and not on Glenwood but you can't miss the hotel. There are train tracks that run very close to the hotel so there is some nose. They do provide earplugs in the room.
Seminar location and facilities were great; would have been nice if they validated for parking fee. Also, parking garage is not connected to hotel and outside of building facade is currently under construction so part of sidewalk closed. Just a word of caution there.
Very nice stay. Comfy large bed with clean sheets and soft pillows. Large bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. Only complaint was the lack of water pressure in the shower.
Stayed in room 305. Absolutely the most infuriating location. 10 feet from the back entrance to a club. The noise is RIDICULOUS at 1 in the morning. Why were we not warned when we checked in that WE WOULD NOT GET ANY SLEEP?? I cannot believe they put Gold member guests in this room. Or any guest for that matter. Follow up: the management was VERY gracious and apologetic. Compensated us nicely. Moral: If you are staying here on a weekend, ask for a quiet room.
Great location if you want to be in the middle of everything and want to be able to walk. Rooms were okay, TV was small and slow, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was in rough shape compared to everything else. Service was outstanding!
Very comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of a lot of dining & entertainment places along Glenwood Ave. It's location is a real plus for this hotel, but the rooms were also clean & comfortable. They did a nice job with the complimentary breakfast in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The service at the hotel was exceptional. There was a problem with my reservation and it was quickly resolved. That's where the good experience ended though. The hotel is right next to a bunch of bars, which were extremely loud. It was like we had a band with us in our room all night and was impossible to sleep. Why Ironman would partner with such a place is not even comprehensible! The "high" setting on the fan didn't work and the hot/cold was switched on the shower too. All in all, one of the worst Hilton stays I've ever had.
My stay has been absolutely wonderful. I was greeted with warmth & enthusiasm. The decorum of the lobby is inviting, very modern. Overall it blends well with the neighborhood. Beds are super comfortable (as usual with Hampton) and breakfast was great. Will definitely be back again when I come back to Raleigh.
Very accommodating place: spacious, clean, bright and well furnished. Staff are friendly and professional. Mini fridge and microwave in the room are helpful. Breakfasts are good! Room got cleaned promptly with no delays. Cozy location!
