The rooms looked really clean. The bed was nice. The rooms are not to noisy. Especially for a Saturday night.
I gave them a 1 star because the room 302 they put me in had bed bugs. I went down stairs to have my room changed. The clerk tried to argue with me about it. I showed him the bites. He said sometimes people get rashes.
He changed my room. To 313. On the too shelf of the fridge there was a note that said "check the sheets if it says Nk on the too left corner. I slept in those sheets last night". I pull the sheets back and there it is NK. I guess America's Best is not good enough anymore. More than that there is no parking I was told to park on the street or in the Hampton Inn across the street. The clerk admitted it is unsafe to park in the dark lot in the back.
I booked this hotel in advance for my wife and I for the Bruno Mars show last night. Based on the reviews, i figured it must be decent. Boy was i wrong! The customer service is incredible. The gentleman at the front desk upon check-in was extremely pleasant, informative, and genuinely cared about his customers. However, upon arrival to our room, we noticed that the hallways smelled of stale, musty air. No big deal, we can work around this. The room, was absolutely terrible. The ceiling in the bathroom appeared to be damaged by water, and had been repaired, but not finished. There was a previous tenants hair all over the bathroom floor, and somehow the ironing board looks as if someone had died on it. It was absolutely disgusting and stained all over. The bed linens were also questionable (multiple cigarette burns in the comforter), so needless to say, this review is being written from home because we did not stay. We made our way to the concert, and returned to the room to check out the same day, and make the 3 hour trip back. I have posted pictures to this review, and will also contact the management directly via the email address given to me on the business card. The gentleman at the desk at check-out didn't seem to have the means to present us with a refund, so i will go about that through management. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. At least not room 316!
This hotel was amazing!! The room was very clean and neat. I was pleasantly surprised by how upscale it seemed in spite of the price. For the money you are getting the quality and value of a room that would be $100+. I've stayed at many hotels around the country but for the money I couldnt believe how satisfied this place made me feel. Kepp up the excellent work!! Extremely friendly staff as well!
It was a great place to stay while transferring from Boston to Raleigh. The AC worked, the room was clean, the staff friendly, the showers were hot, the bed comfy, and the TV entertaining. Plus it was easy to get to & from. Overall it well exceeded my expectations and if I ever have need to stay there again I suspect i will have just as good of a stay.
Hands down best staff ever. Don't let name or price steer you away. This is a hidden gem in Raleigh. Rather on vacation, business need a quiet night to yourself this place will more than please you. Great location yet hidden from the hustle and bustle so remains nice and quiet. Rooms on smaller side but not small , newly remodeled very clean and again the staff is the friendliest and most helpful out of any place I've ever stayed. Great job thank you
For the price paid, this is an above average place to stay. The room was clean, simple and modern with a large window and a large television. Bathroom was goodnew eco toilet. The gentleman at the front desk was not only kind and courteous, but also perceptive of my needs. It is doubtful that i will stay anywhere else when in Raleigh. This place hits all the marks!
Good basic hotel. Nice bathroom renovation. Looks outdated in the BR but comfort is more important. Pillows were on point!
Clean rooms but a little dated. No elevator on location plus limited parking. Not bad for a quick overnight stay. Great location
Hotel is olderand says under construction. Decor is average and I'd be guessing at the room's underlying cleanliness. Bring your Lysol just for peace of mind. For the price, I guess it'll have to do for a last-minute layover.
U get what u pay for. Loved the staff. They we're on point. Clean and neat rooms. I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast OK wish they had meat but on top of that, I would recommend anyone to stay there. Not an expensive place.
A decent no-frills hotel if you're just in need of an inexpensive room. Front desk staff was accommodating but I did a double take when told about the cleaning fee if I smoked weed in the room. The room was smallish and looked run down. Dated furniture and some minor wall damage. I had a smoking room here which are segregated from the rest of the rooms. If you smoke be warned the ventilation is poor and the windows do not open so it gets toxic in there. The comp breakfast was just basic fare options; muffins, toast, cereal, waffles, etc. However, as long as you don't have high expectations and just want a simple, affordable lodging experience I recommend them.
