We built our house with H&H onsite homes. We had a wonderful experience with Ned, David, and the rest of the staff. Anything that went wrong they fixed right away. We never had any problems getting a hold of them for any reason. We have lived in our house for 3 years and never had even one thing go wrong. Our house is one of the most beautiful on the road. Our build was second to none. We are building with them again very soon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends, or family members.

Unethical and dishonest company. I live in a neighborhood where I am President of the HOA and H&H built a handful of homes in Lake Wylie, SC. This builder currently owes our HOA $1,200.00 for water that they stole from us to run sprinklers day and night to irrigate a lawn of one home they were trying to sell. Knowingly connecting to a meter in our name, water was wasted for days. That water/sewer account had never seen any usage prior to this. Our homeowners then had to foot the bill. H&H was made aware of this and has refused to pay. It has now been nearly two years that H&H has refused to reimburse us. Additionally, H&H clear cut trees in an HOA owned common area without permission while building a home on an adjacent lot. This was to simply make their construction process easier. They later replanted a row of small oak trees, many of which died immediately. H&H then refused to take accountability for replacing these trees, diminishing the value of homes in our neighborhood and damaging our curb appeal. Blatant and utter disregard for homeowner so in a neighborhood where they sold homes. The bad experiences are too numerous to list. I sincerely hope that one day someone at H&H attempts to rectify this situation and clear their terrible reputation. As licensed real estate broker in NC and SC, I advise anyone to stay away from this homebuilder based on my first hand experience. As a buyer, you have a choice. There are ethical builders selling in their markets who choose to do the right thing. I would advise anyone to buy from the competition.

Great on move-in day, but quickly deteriorates. Builders obviously cared more about making a quick buck than quality.

Coax-cable had nails though it. They forgot to install the drain pipe for the A/C drain pan. Stair case railing was fastened in with painter nails too short to even hit the stud. They installed our shower door backwards. I've owned for only 4 years and my porch columns are already bowed/bent. I have noticed I am not the only one with this problem in our neighborhood either.

Obviously you get the standard settling of a house (things such as nail pops and such), but the quality of the parts and labor H&H uses is shoddy at best.

The 2-10 warranty they offer is incredibly picky on what they cover. For instance, we had the aforementioned A/C leak (due to missing drain pipe) and 2-10/H&H only covered the installation of the drain pipe under "Workmanship" but not the water damage it caused. Another instance, my bent/bowed columns, while it may sound structural (and covered under the 10 year warranty), read the warranty paperwork closelyit states that porches are not covered (also they will charge you $250 to have an inspector come out if you don't read the paperwork, thanks to the 2-10 employee that gave me another copy of the paper work and pointed that out).

I give them 2 stars instead of 1 only because the house is still standing (mostly) and nothing is life threatening.

Buyer beware.

AWFUL. We have lived in our new construction home for less than two years. So far we have dealt with a gas line that was never properly secured, a water tank that burst from the wall because it too was never properly secured, leaking pipes in the kitchen and a water heater that is leaking. It took FOUR WEEKS for the water tank and the damage it caused to be fixed. In the current issue we are dealing with, no one will respond to us or is the least bit helpful. Our neighbors A/C unit broke (and is within warranty coverage) but they refuse to send someone to fix it because they don't have anyone who works in the area. Stay far away.

Job sites are not cleaned up and lunch garbage and plastic water bottles litter area, along with building trash overflowing dumpsters, which are not emptied on a regular basis. The Pines of Gahagan in Summerville, South Carolina.
