Was actually at B side Liquor Lounge. I loved the environment here for emo night and my boyfriend just went for open mic night. We will both definitely be back! Drinks aren't too too bad as far as price.

Quick stop to record a band set during a weeknight
Being a small live music room, it is open and uncluttered because there are no tables/chairs on the floor. There are a couple of seating areas along the wall, and of course the bar. Good for a packed night, bare otherwise. Comfortable atmosphere. Sound quality is dependent upon music genre and technicians. It's a busy area typically, with parking street meters taken first but there was plenty of parking available in quarter meter lots within a short walk, convenient even in cold weather. Only a few dollars (bring quarters) for the parking meter. (Google the area to view the locations of the lots within a few buildings' distance). Large restrooms. Generally a comfortable dive, small music venue, in the artsy Coventry area of Cleveland.response / report this review -

This location is part of Cleveland Music History. Great place to experience live music, comedy, or specialty shows. Nested in the heart of Coventry you can eat, drink, shop, dance, play, and party in the area.

I only remember the 1st half of being here but I came to see Jidenna preform and it was AMAZING! Loved the venue too!

For 25 years, wherever it is located, The Grog Shop has been consistently serving up the world's greatest underground music to the Cleveland community. That's something to appreciate. The staff is helpful and friendly, even when the occasional problem arises. I am grateful for this place and hope it is around for another 25 years!

No seating for concerts, just standing room only. Layout is weird. It's easy to miss the downstairs bar, which appeared to look pretty nice once I noticed it while waiting in line for the concert.

Arguably the best venue in Cleveland for live music. Been coming here for over a decade. Diverse acts, alcohol is a great price for a venue, ample parking, clean neighborhood, great crowd, great bartenders, great prices. Nearly unbeatable. It can get crowded because it is an intimate joint but that's about it.

Cool little vebue. Parking garage right down the street. Cool shops real close if you want to go early to do something before. Also a good chance to meet and hang with the bands. Con: not many places to sit so if you get there late you'll be standing.

Seen a handful of concerts here and I can't wait to be back! Great atmosphere in a cool area. Close to food and shopping. Awesome sound and great drink variety from top shelf drinks to working class beers.

i saw agent orange, the atom age, gutter mouth, and the queers there and over all the place is okay. its pretty small but has a great sound. bathrooms were surprisingly clean.

Small live music venue that lets you get right up to the stage. Drink prices are reasonable and they don't water down your mixed drinks. I've been here for around a dozen shows. Never disappoints.
