Nice, quiet, and relaxing. Lots to do with your family or friends. It's even pet friendly. My only issue, as an avid mountain biker, is that they keep closing more trails to bikes.

Very clean, pleasant and quiet. Great for fishing, boating and hiking. No gas boat motors permitted. Swimming area, camping and cabin rentals. An all-around great park.

We put the boat in Lake Pinchot and had a great day of fishing. We caught five largemouth bass and none were under 13". The boat ramps are very good access to the lake and well maintained. We had a very enjoyable day .

We love coming to this park and camp ground. The grounds are very well kept up and clean and there is a lot to do while you are here. Biggest gripe is the pets. Despite being a park and outdoors, there are very little places that you can take pets. I get it, they don't want feces sitting all over, but no pets in the lake? Really?

We've visited many times over the years due to proximity to our home. The trails are good for family walks and we've seen a lot of wildlife like turtles and snakes. Some trail sections can be rocky or have exposed tree roots, but for the most part they are easy to navigate. The swimming side is great for kids and they seem to enjoy the lake water. There are also rentals for canoes and such but we've not rented there during our visits. There is also a campground with tent camping and some cabins and a yurt or two.

This is a very nice state park. It has a very large and very nice camp ground. It is supposedly the largest camp ground out of all the PA state parks but you can't really tell as it is spread out and divided up really well. The sites are all fairly nice with a decent amount of space, the typical amenities, and enough trees and undergrowth for a little privacy. The lake is HUGE for the area and very scenic. Wonderful for some paddling, fishing, or swimming. There are more than one day use areas around the lake, and multiple places to launch a boat from. The playgrounds I had seen were also newer and decent sized.

As a park, it's great. If you're going to swim, it's OK. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to go to for a family day. The views are beautiful, it's free to go. The issue is compared to other lakes I've been in over the years, sometimes the water is clean, other times it can be dirty to the point that you can't wait to shower. The other issue is that for anyone older or with back or knee issues, it's not the easiest to get in and out of the lake. There is supposed to be a ramp for this reason but I can never find it. Overall, i would continue to go back. I just think they need more accessible ways to get in and out of the water.

Love this place. Such a great location to spend time with you family. Fishing, hiking, boat rentals. Just a heads up, the rentals are ONLY through the wkend.

Nice trails that circle the fairly large lake. Fish are heavily pressured here; especially after mid-June with multiple weekly "Basscar" style tourneys. Boat rental facility has limited hours.

There are lots of nice camp sites. There is fishing, canoeing, and tons of hiking trails. The rangers are super nice. Beware of poison ivy. This is a very wooded park. I have seen it around in a few places. But all in all, great place.

One of the better state parks in Pennsylvania. RV sites are mostly level, hookups positioned conveniently, and easy to get in / out of.
Lots of things to do, quiet friendly atmosphere and conveniently located between Harrisburg and York.

I go to this lake every summer to swim! However, the last time I was there in August, the water was much more brown and murky than it usually is, but we still swam in it and came out just fine! The area is well kept and there's no litter. The concession stand is pretty expensive, however. But you can always bring your own lunch.
