  Great park Nice trails for walking and it has a no leash dog area. Nice nature center too

  Fantastic place to walk, walk my dogs. Today's event was magnificent. I was impressed with the vendor diversity and all the people and children (both 2 and 4 legged) that we're showing up. Plan on going next year. Already signed up for the Essential Oil program and attend the over 55 monthly program. Do I think it's a great place, YES!

  Beautiful Park to walk around especially in the fall. Really nice walking trails and dog friendly also has playgrounds for kids.

  I go here because it is the closest off leash dog park by me. But most times I'll drive to Michigan City because they have more active dog parks. Don't get me wrong Luhr has a nice clean area, well kept, shade and sunny areas. But there are never any other dogs there. Stella, my golden doodle, likes to play with other dogs so when we go here it is a bit of a disappointment. Also it's right by the power lines which are always giving off a high pitch buzzing which can be annoying.

  We love Luhr Park! All the staff are kind and helpful. The fishing is great. The trails are beautiful! The exercise equipment is well maintained.

  Hands down, one of the best parks there is!
  Luhr Park Nature Center is somewhat of a hidden gem in La Porte, Indiana.
  It has a nature preserve in which I've never been to, but they do have three playgrounds with hand washing stations, a catch-and-release fishing pond, a work-out center, a dog run, walking trails, and observation deck.
  Cleanest park bathrooms I have ever seen.
