I had a bad experience with them. I needed a good 40 or 50k worth of work but it was like it wasn't enough for them. All the architect did was probe me about money and go off on a diatribe about how they are not some dude in truck that thinks they are a landscaper. Plus half the stuff I wanted done, like a retaining wall and irrigation, they don't even do. They just sub it out. I think this is the kind of place that wants you to write them a blank check and then leave them alone to do whatever they want. If it doesn't bother you to just blindly give your money away then by all means go with this place.

We hired Gibbs to do a complete backyard makeover for our new home. The landscape in the backyard was very dated but Gibbs prepared a design that allowed us to visualize what things would look like when installed. Our new pool, fireplace area and putting green are amazing. Can not recommend this company enough!

I AM HIRING MY OWN GARDENER. When we met late summer, their representative was very impressive. My property was behind in maintenance, so we discussed what needed to be done for cleanup. They did an "ok" job(left trails of mess I had to remind them to clean up), and charged me over $2,000.00. The "mow and blow" did just that, no regular weeding or plant care(unless I instructed them to do so- not good when I was not there to tell them what to do) as promised in the contract. Then, when it came to having plants removed and replaced, I pleaded for over a month with my "assigned property manager" to make sure it would get done. No one from the contacted me. the assigned property manager explained it was the job of another department, and not his job. The person in that department, claimed they emailed me a planting proposal several weeks earlier, which NEVER showed up in my email until weeks later. It had gotten to the point I had told them I would be forced to terminate their services if not done. Meanwhile, plants in prominent places and in pots overgrew, turned brown, and some even died. It was a disgrace. I had to let Gibbs go. I gave them plenty of notice, waited, and did not receive the service or timely responses to my needs.

A Delightful Experience from Start to Finish

We are new clients of Gibbs Landscape, and we couldn't be happier.

Peter and his team visited our property, and instantly understood the areas our prior landscape service neglected. They have done a super-quick, super-professional job of restoring our yard to its initial beauty. Now they are helping us repair our irrigation glitches, and are beginning to do ongoing maintenance.

Their forte is excellent, timely communication and well as attention to detail.

Gibbs has been taking care of our property for a while now. We were having difficulty finding a company who offered professional consistent service. Peter Copses from Gibbs set us up on a maintenance program and performed an one time pruning service to get our property back into shape. Our manager Ruben has done a great job keeping everything looking good. Gibbs is highly reccomended!

Gibbs Landscape is the best landscape company in Atlanta - I highly recommend you hire them for any significant landscape design project or regular maintenance for larger properties. Before I found Gibbs, I wasted several years and thousands of dollars on a project trying to create a natural barrier between my home and my neighbors to create privacy in our yard. Two other companies planted bushes that eventually died and were the wrong plants for what I needed and the area they were planted. Gibbs came out and surveyed the situation and made several recommendations that would solve my problem with fast growing bushes and also plants that would survive in the high sun location at the bottom of a hill that drained a lot of water into the area. The Holly bushes they selected were perfect and at a reasonable price for the size of the project. The crew that installed them ran into a number of issues with a fence, some old drainage pipes, a new french drain, a narrow entrance into the yard and some old tree roots and they did a fantastic job - they communicated with me as each issue happened and shared their solution and then executed it. I couldn't believe these were landscapers - they were so professional and communicated at a high level - I was very impressed. As promised they followed up with fertilizer injections the following year and the bushes are doing very well, growing fast and creating the privacy I wanted. I felt like Gibbs wasn't a bunch of guys with shovels but a highly trained, truly professional organization with people that treated my yard like it was their yard. They are worth the slightly higher fees I paid and I will use them again for any other landscape design project and if you really care about your yard and really want something special you should hire Gibbs Landscape as well.
