A little smaller than some other Giant Eagles and the bakery doesn't have too much (but good donuts). It is right off from 670 so it is easy to get to.

I will miss this store for convenience sake, but I love the new Market District, less than a mile NE of this store on West 3rd Avenue. I have found one particular person who works at the deli counter to be incredibly and consistently rude. One day she accused me of stealing items from the salad bar. She actually opened my carry-out box to look and didn't even apologize when it turned out she was stone cold wrong. The managers and checkout people are very friendly and helpful, but their system is all wrong. Never enough people working the registers and the self-checkout system always has glitches, so you end up needing a real person to help anyway.

This is an excellent choice for grabbing quick items that you need last minute. This place is rough for normal grocery shopping though. The produce here isn't very good, and they have closed most of the meat counter section and combined it with seafood, leaving few options of either. It is also frequently difficult to find anyone to help you at the meat counter. On the other hand, the bakery/deli staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Also tends to have very long lines to check out.

I've just moved back to Columbus after 25 years in Florida and my question is what the hell happened to Big Bear? that was the best store in town at the time far better than Kroger for bakery and deli but now Krogers is extremely affordable. Giant eagle they should call it Giant rip-off or giant predator. Prices ridiculously higher and I'm not talking about 5 and $0.10 o some things as much as $0.50 or more. I live directly behind it and it would be super convenient if I had more income to burn I do not like the store
