Love this place! Little crowded after ball games but they work hard to fill the orders quickly and accurately. Good selection of old fashion favorites.

As expected, Ghirardelli served up a great sundae with their signature chocolate. We sat outside in the Gas Lamp Quarter, enjoying the sun, conversation, and people-watching. There was a clean and well-kept inside seating area as well. There were a nice selection of pastries also.

Yum!! Old school style ice cream parlor where you get to sit down and be served by waiters. The ice cream is just as good as the chocolate, and it’s a fun environment. They always give away yummy samples of chocolate too, which makes it fun to try new stuff. If you want a great dessert spot on GasLamp, go here!!

Some of the best ice cream around. My fiancée And I always get a sundae to share. The service is quick and friendly. Definitely a chocolate lovers spot!

Very tasty and creatively simple chocolate options. I love how it feels you step back into another era in terms of interior design and the uniforms of the employees. The exterior of the building feels like an old movie house. For me, the experience was better than the treat.

I have done few things correctly in my life, because most of my time is spent complaining on the internet, or commenting on things that don't really matter. But when I say that a hot cocoa ice cream float was sent down from heaven from virgin Italian nuns, I am only being slightly hyperbolic. The rasberry sorbet is cool, refreshing, and sweet. The ice cream is good quality ice cream, and I wish it was hand made, but it is quite good. It's good enough to make me 'almost' like mint chocolate chip, but we all know that mint and chocolate are not to be in the same room, let alone combined in ice cream. It's like those fruit mint icebreakers, what are they thinking?

The possibilities here for a chocolate lover are endless. They have good deals on their chocolates when we went it was buy 4 get one free I think. The ice cream part looked amazing too.

walking into the place, you could smell chocolate in the air. We didn't stay long, because it was pretty busy. So I'm sure this place was great. It was so busy on a Thursday night that we couldn't even get in the door. We decided to go somewhere else. Taking a look at their menu it was $14 or $15 for a sundae, and I didn't want to pay that just for dessert. Even though it was probably pretty ding-dang delicious.

This is one of our favorite places to come for a brownie sundae. We've come during mid-afternoon hours when it's not busy.
The place is clean, they give you a free chocolate sample, the price is a little steep. But we were on vacation so splurging on brownie and ice cream was okay for us.
The staff was friendly. The brownie sundae tastes just as amazing as the first time we tried it 3 years ago. Such a delicious treat. It's a fun touristy spot for a chocolate lover.response / report this review -

AMAZING ICE CREAM!!! I ordered the Raspberry Sorbet in a waffle cone, and it was epic! My BF got the cookies and cream, and that was delicious as well. :) Great place to get awesome treats!

Great icecream, friendly and helpful staff. A sweet treat in the middle of the Gaslamp district. We had a brownie sundae with salted caramel, Midnight Bliss sundae, a scoop of black cherry vanilla, and an espresso. Everything was wonderful, but the black cherry vanilla was exceptional. Wonderful old-fashioned soda shop feel.

Free sample chocolate squares upon entrance. The smell is great. Contains a store and a mini restaurant/cafe.
